that's pretty much normal because of that rubber thingy dun sa dulo ng piston sa loob ng cylinder, as long as there's no leak, that's okay

^ im, by far, not an expert pero.... di ba hiwalay ang fluid reservoir ng clutch master and brake master cylinder?
ontopic, wala naman kaso yan pangingitim ng fluid, cause nga lang yan nung rubber sa loob ng assembly. pag walang leak or di pa lumulusot yung clutch sa shifting, ok pa yan.

June 3rd, 2008 09:27 AM #8normal lang for it to turn dark. if it keeps happening fast though that might be a sign that the master is about to go so keep on observing it.

June 24th, 2008 10:55 PM #9The fluid of a certain master turns chocolate brown, gets small in amount and becomes more viscous. Same problem you think?
I assume it's the clutch master because it's near the brake fluid vessel, takes DOT 3 fluid only. It' s in the corner, driver's side. Inside the vessel is a rounded, black rubber like float. Corolla. Do you think so?
So how do you flush it?
Thank you. :flush::mop1:

June 25th, 2008 12:17 AM #10hi.. its an internal bleeding for the clutch master or the secondary master... the cylinder wall is worn out or the wheel cap due to wear and tear.. so flushing the fluid would do no good at all.. so better to replace the part to a new one..
further usage of worn out hydraulic master and cylinders will do no good...
