    the TB has quite a few holes in it for the different sensors and vacum lines. over time, these get clogged with dirt and may cause the sensors to read erratically or incorrectly.

    having it cleaned is a relatively simple but tedious process. all you need is an intake manifold and a shop who can pull out the manifold and injectors. then use kerosine to clean it then make sure the manifold is TOTALLY dry (use a high pressure air spray for this) because you don't want water getting into your combustion chamber...
