    sorry for the OT...

Minsan nakakalungkot na Vietnam has almost the same GDP as ours has VinFast
(if I remember correctly, last year o 2 years ako lang nila tayo na-overtake-an, so basically, they are the richer country na)

They have built a car and started exporting it.

The closest thing we have is the Francisco Elektron and realistically, I don't think anyone here is interested in buying one.

There are no investors that are willing to risk their money in building one.
The MFG cost, electricity and the cost of setting up the R&D team are the major hurdles of this industry.
If may proposal man na promising, most of them will be snap-up by foreign investors.

they can take a page from Proton's playbook... buy an existing locally made model and rebrand.

for initial units. they can sell to taxi fleets or mala-kickstarter sila.

nakakalungkot lang na Vietnam has VinFast... closest thing we have is Francisco and Aurelio

the closest we have is IMI (ayala) which manufactures Zero electric motorcycles, which is a very niche boutique brand, very limited quantities

    Nasa government talaga problem natin.
Nung PUV modernization program nga, pinaprioritize nila mga Chinese Supplier kahit makakasupply sana si Francisco (correct me if Im wrong) at cheaper price.
I think yun kay Francisco is if may award lang to make sure sila na mag susupply,

Need talaga government support but maraming humihila kasi unless may under the table agreement.

Yun kay Aurelio, sportscar kasi focus nila.
    Sino ba bumibili sportscar dito?
Kahit i market nila outside PH, daming competition na.
Unless if may innovative differentiation yung unit nila compare sa ibang sportscar aside from price.
Innovation such as good suspension, improve handling na sila lang may gawa.
I know their engine are also coming from other brands which is OK lang.
Yung differentiation lang sana via innovative feature kulang.

The VF3 measures 3,190mm long, 1,679mm wide, and 1652mm tall, making it 375mm shorter, 153mm wider, and 5mm lower than the S-Presso. The tiny VinFast rides on a 2,075mm wheelbase, which is 305mm less between the axles than the little Suzuki crossover, and wears 26.3-inch diameter 175/75 R16 tires, which is 3.2 inches bigger than the S-Presso’s 23.1-inch diameter 165/70 R14 rubber. The Vietnamese contender has a ground clearance of 191mm, or 11mm greater than that of its Japanese rival, and a turning circle of 4.05m, or 0.45m less than the S-Presso’s.
