i think it was meant for people who fear battery degradation or battery fail in a EV.
The lease would mean they wouldn't have to worry about the battery failing since it will be automatically replaced with no cost.

its like an insurance for the battery.

In isuzu mux (not sure sa new gen), that button at the tip of wiper stalk is the selector or reset button sa mga figures sa dashboard (trip A/B, fuel consumption figures, time from when the engine start, etc).

I think OK lang if pang on/off lang ng EPB to.

They either saved more money/production time in consolidating switchgear than sticking to cable hand brakes or the VF3 has no parking pawl/Park Gear and they are using the EPB to emulate the function
concern ko is kung biglang umambon... halos automatic na wiper yung controls sa right side.

Masasanay ka naman. It took me a week para masanay sa twist-gear sa steering column ng Santa Fe.

The gear selector location is not ideal for me.
Sometimes while in driving, ma inadvertently switch ko tong wiper pataas or pababa.
Since the functions are R and D, medyo delikado para sa akin.

Example, while on stationary while preparing for some things inside the driver position.
I sometimes push up or down the wiper stalk.
If etong car yun, baka mag ala SUA ang sasakyan.
Unless if the car won't run if the accelerator is not pressed.

Also, ano mangyari if while on running, you accidentally switch to R?
I know in AT may gumawa na nito, wala namang effect sa car when in running.
But makapag-isip ka na baka may negative effect na sa inside ng AT transmission.

Forgive me for my ignorance since I haven't driven luxury car yet (Mercedez, BMW, etc.).

    same issue for me.

when driving a Japanese car sa left side of the road (mostly Singapore, Malaysia and Japan), palagi akong nagkakamali sa signal light and wiper. kaya I always rent a European car para nasa left pa din sa atin yung location ng signal and wiper switches. -> now I'm confused nanaman kung napag-baliktad ko. hahaha

Nissan Bluebird U12 ng ex ko nung college. it was my first time driving an Automatic car... accidentally nasipa yung gear sa R while travelling sa Espana... the engine automatically turned off. halos tumigil heart beat namin kasi the car was like cruising in Neutral lang... then may stories noon na bawal itulak ang AT kaya we had to wait for it to stop before trying to start it again... nag start naman and naka-uwi kami. pero really memorable

yeah i'm sure there's a few lines of code that prevents that. it's all software anyway i.e. the shifter is a just a switch and the EV drivetrain doesn't have a physical reverse gear
If it is just a software only mechanism, once that EPB HW button fails, hello tirik in the middle of Highway.
No choice but to call CASA for the rescue, since no one is knowledgeable enough aside from CASA to reset the EPB.

Similar scenario dun sa Montero na tumirik in the middle of roadtrip due to stuck up EPB.
Good thing sa Montero is marami ng alam on how to fix it/release EPB.
Kaya siya i fix from the EPB motor itself.
But incase of VF3, are they willing to handover the mechanism (SW or HW means) on how to release the Parking Brake?

yeah i'm not a fan of those things but probably just a 2-terminal epb that could be released w/ a small battery
