yeah cut them some slack and most so called auto journalists tend to harp on about silly things like hard plastics

i've already test driven the jetour ice cream and i'm pretty sure the vf3 drives like it or maybe even a bit better. if so then it'd be perfectly adequate for short trips around town. fyi the motor is mounted directly to the rear solid axle so that's a lot of unsprung weight

^i'm sure the 800K price is for the leased battery.

I wonder how much they'll price the car & battery

    on VF vietnam website vf5 non-lease is 548,000,000 dongs, while vf3 non-lease is 322,000,000

vf5 ph non-lease price is 1191,000 (currently discounted to 1042,000)

    so... (1191/548000) * 322000 = approx 700k pesos

if we substitute vf5 discounted price: (1042/548000)*322000 = 612k pesos

so based on vf5 ph pricing the vf3 non-lease should be 700k

40hp though... doesn't sound fun even if you have 100% of that from a standstill.

But the torque of 110Nm is the same as a Honda Brio and higher than 89Nm of a Toyora Wigo.

But the result of all that torque is just 40 horses.

And the original Beetle engine only had a max 40Hp and 88Nm. And there are still a few Beetles and Kombis running in Baguio. Di naman siguro nilagay sa paleta at sinakay sa eroplano ang mga yun. Even the cheap EVs being reviewed ang primary comment, iba yung acceleration dahil sa torque.

Ang mahal naman ng shipping nito. Malamang mga demo o display units.

Sa alam ko torque para acceleration, HP para sa top speed. Malamang fun lang ito sa city, back roads, at twisties. Sa highways hindi.
