I own a Juke. Likes: handling, i-con which selects driving mode (normal, sport, economy), styling (though it's a love it or hate it response). Dislikes: lacking pockets behind front seats, not enough holders for the stuff I usually bring around like shades and cellphone. No center armrest. Some features are not the same as stated in the website, i.e. X-CVT tranny as per website but actual units only have regular CVT. You could try posting under the Car Comparison section and get a wider set of responses from owners of the other brands. You might also want to test drive all 3 before you make your final decision.

I think Juke is XCVT. Xtronic is just what Nissan calls its CVT. Subaru has its Lineartronic CVT. But theyre both CVTs. Just like vvti, or ivtec, mivec.. just different variable valve timing stuff. (Disclaimer: I could be wrong though..)

From what I saw on the Nissan PH website, the XCVT specs include the manual option or "manu-matic" as other manufacturers put it. However, the actual units in the showroom have the regular CVT tranny: P-R-N-D-L, no gate for the manual override. That's what I have in my car. I pointed this out to the sales rep and he just said something about "Iba talaga ang specs sa Pilipinas."

Yup. That was the phrase I was looking for. "Manual mode" not "manual option". 😊 Would have been nice if the local Juke had this. It would make the sport mode more fun to engage.

Kahapon lang nasa Waltermart ako, andaming Juke na nakaparada, nasa 4 o5 5 units, parang fresh from factory ang dating sa linis, sa sobrang sariwa, sasabihin ko pa nga sana na walang plaka, pero wala naman nga pala talagang plaka ang Pilipinas.

Hi guys!

I'm thinking of purchasing my first car for personal use and as of now I'm really confused haha

. The car would be primarily for getting around Metro Manila with occasional long drives here and there. I personally prefer mid-sized cars (nothing too big or too small). As of now, my choices are: Nissan Juke, Subaru XV, Honda HR-V. I'm leaning towards the Juke although that's primarily because I like it the best visually haha. I'm also open to other suggestions if there are any. Thanks!
