We have both the current gen everest and fortuner, mas magaan doors ng fortuner compared to the everest. Could be thicker material with the ford? Ramdam mo ung lightness between the two.

Would it translate to better fuel economy since mas 'magaan' si fortuner? Im just getting the same FC for both.

Compare the terra and an fj. You'll know what I mean...

It could be better insulation material within the doors.

they have to put the wheel wells ("tambol") somewhere.
and they have to put in some space behind the last row, for the timba and the knapsack.

Also the thick panels with help improve the nvh, more deadening material, better insulations

I can also confirm that the 2nd row of Everest isn't that big. The Fortuner is bigger, heck even my T32 Xtrail is bigger which is why I was wondering as well why it is more cramp for a midsize SUV. The only good about it is the seats are softer and has more cushion than the Fort.

Am surprised at how well this thing corners. Far from car like but something this tall shouldn't be able to corner this quickly.

From the get go the brakes bite well with little effort without being grabby.

Ride quality is still good even with only me inside and tires at 35 psi.

I appreciate the extra steering feel but coming from an eps equipped car it does feel a bit heavy. A thicker and flatter steering wheel would've helped. This steering wheel is thin by today's standards.

Hows the engine noise? The montero is really quiet. I have the navara 4x4 and the noise and vibration permeates inside the cabin. I wish the Terra has better sound proofing.
