Managed to finally see a unit in the metal. No test drive yet though.

The three rows can fit a 6ft adult in each row based on how me and my brother tried out the seating config. If the backrest of the third row is not fully reclined, it would be a hellish ride. But, based on how both me an my brother's seating position when fully reclined, our heads aren't hitting the back door's frame (yet) and it would be a bit comfortable on the thighs as the blood flow is not as constricted in that position, compared to the current fortuner or previous gen Montero (I can't recall posture in current gen Montero).

If in bumpy roads, I think there is a chance that the head might hit the frame around the glass so, mileage will vary.

In terms of usability of the Storage Area for hauling cargo, it's kind of quirky I guess if you ask me. The only portion where you can call it a "Fold flat" area is when the third row backrest is dropped flat. But that is only because of a piece of removable hard plastic tray that can be flipped (1 side with carpet, one side for wet or frozen goods) between the third row and the bumper. It needs it because the third row sets are bolted on to the floor and not removable.

The second row is convenient to tumble, but that is where the issue of the flat "bed" no longer exist. It will leave a drop in the cargo area that is created once the second row is tumble forward. This is where both the Montero and Fortuner have the advantage in that department. Montero being almost flat, while the fortuner is the flooring itself with the third row seats hung to the sides.

Seats are comfortable with the Zero G foam when I compare it to the Montero and Fortuner. I personally don't like the current gen Fortuner's foam material. I prefer the Montero's seats over the Fortuner.

At present (even without a test drive), if you were to ask me now if I had the money to purchase a 4x2 AT SUV PPV (base/mid tier only), I would personally pick the Montero (At present only). Family is looking at our options for next year so this choice could change, but if you were to ask me if I had the budget now, the Montero is my pick.

Saw this kanina at trinoma. Baby patrol NOT! The new fortuner seems wider inside. Hit my head entering the 2nd row. Center arm rest small.

Nice 1st and 2nd row seats though I did not bother checking the 3rd row. I was just passing through, maybe next time.

yes Montero looks way better than this. the only reason why it's getting the hype coz it's new to the eyes coz late na sya na-introduce. pero one will pick one's brain, Montero talaga ang mas maganda ang itsura.

I dunno maybe I already have a bluepower, and Im kinda going for the aero look suv now, that's why mas type ko na Montero. nasasawa na ako sa old design. yun nga lang parang sobrang dami Montero sa kalsada ngaun, king of the PPV na talaga sa kabute sa dami

everest naman ayaw ko kasi sawa na nga ako sa wildtrak ko eh yun din yun, tbz naman chevy sirain, grabe pa tumaga sa casa, and of course Fortuner, walang rear cam isuzu already shot themselves into the foot by overpricing the mux after train, hinde na sila mapapatawad ng tao kahit ngaun may libre pa motorcycle. so pathetic Isuzu has become . .

talagang the showdown will be between these two: Montero vs Terra eto ber months to December. eh tapos iisa naman mayari Nissan owns Mitsu. so panalo na

Pinaka magandang test sa 3rd row would be the safety of the passengers pag na rear end.

Sa Honda din madami okay na SA.

    Try searching for Melissa Tan.
