February 25th, 2005 07:38 PM #1Good evening fellow Tsikot members.
A family friend is selling us her friend's Nissan Patrol '02 for 1.35 M. The SUV's paint is smooth (black), w/ no history of repairs and accidents, diesel, 4x4, AT and w/ 30,000 km mileage.
1. Is this a good buy?
2. When was this model launched? Is there a possibility of it being replaced anytime soon?
3. What should we look out for if ever we decide to get this one?
4. How's its ride quality compared to a Pajero (Gen 2.5) and Trooper?
Thank you and more power!
Btw, this is my first post.

looks like a good catch 4wd na 1.35, try mo to lower it down to 1.2.

February 25th, 2005 09:04 PM #3That's a relatively good price. We just sold our 2002 Patrol 4x2 (A/T) 2 months ago for P1.7m. It only had 7,000km on the odo.

family friend..so parang kilala mo,right?
so you know the condition of the patrol..and maybe how he took care of it.
30K lang sa odo is ok..travels alot(assuming 15K a year)
try mo tawaran pa...look a good buy, that is if you trust your friend na di ka lolokohin..anu posible reasons for his sale...owner leaving/gusto lang palitan?

The new model is already out internationally. But don't worry, Patrols just evolve and they don't change drastically from one day to the next.
The current Patrol is still a good buy.
I have driven odell's Patrol. It rides way better than my Pajero. But the latest Pajero rides better. Though the Patrol will easily have a GEN III Pajero for lunch on the trail.

February 25th, 2005 10:57 PM #7Thanks for the inputs.
We'll check if the price is still negotiable. We don't have a solid reference price since only a few Nissan Patrol owners are selling theirs based on Buy and Sell.

Thanks for the invite. I'll join your club if ever. However, I don't think I'll go off-roading anytime soon.

AFAIK, the owner will be purchasing a new SUV soon.

More inputs please.
Thank you!

kahit hindi mo na tawaran ok na yang price! sigurado ka bang 4x4 yan? check mo lang kung dalawa ang kambyo.
mine is a 2001 4x2 patrol m/t, just recently converted to 4x4. and up to now, with 110,000kms on the odo, wala pang sira sa ilalim, or any other major part. yung MAF sensor lang yung nasira, which was my fault since i installed FinerFilter for my air filter. oil type kasi kaya napupunta sa MAF yung oils kaya nasira.
Go for it na!Signature

It's about 1 cm longer than the 3SM and about 4 cm longer than the DIN74. And it's also in the 10k...
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
