All about Nissan Serena [merged]

i finally gt a nissan serena 2002 a/t qrvr. after a year of monitoring this thread i based my decision here and get a second hand unit with 56k on its odo. its been 3 weeks since i gt mine, the ride is so comfort, very powerful engine. full load way up going to north and you can feel the power climbing the hilly sta. fe nueva vizcaya. 145km top speed so far at sctex with 4 passengers. got my fuel consumption check and average of 8-10km long distance driving almost no traffic on the roads. combination of city and nlex driving is 6-9 depends on road condition. after i got my serena i immediately send to shop and have it check, brake pads, change oil, change spark plug with split fire, change air filter, upgrade headlight with h.i.d.. and put a vortex a fuel saver device. now i encountered my first problem.. i gt curious and tried to switch on the POWER while driving to nlex, after turning on the engine i got a rough idle and the engine is misfiring.. way back home my serena is crawling at 80km.. cant barely rev up the engine.. have you guys experience same problem with your engine?
what causes such problem? im planning to bring the serena tomorrow in a shop and have it diagnose...

i usu encounter this sort of problem with my serena, usu every 4~6 months of use. I brought my serena to Nissan and had it tune up regularly to correct idling (should be around 750 rpm on idle), replace spark plugs, etc.

i only use the standard plugs and have it replaced every six months...

bring your unit to Nissan Balintawak or Nissan Mantrade preferably. Other branches have a bad reputation kasi in terms of service...

I suggest try to change to regular spark plug.. BTW, POWER will give you a high rpm run (low gear). Did you try to turn it off again?

my nissan still at 4km per liter... pure city and traffic driving mostly Makati...

set to power when climbing steep hills aside from turning off the OD, set to snow when the road is slippery, normal driving just set at the middle

yup ! got mine at 3.7km/l city
and 8km/l highways

I let the installer find the wirings and then boom...yun nga lang I dare him for 500 bucks kung mapapagana nya..

never use split fire spark plugs on your serena..just use regular spark plugs..
