Ah yes, I had thought as much po Doc. I share your sentiments. I would have bought another Rav4 if only they imported the model with the smaller displacement power plant.
The T still maintains the best reputation despite it's occasional misses.

December 9th, 2019 07:45 PM #152ang basa ko sa ginawa nila and from my experience, what Mitsu did last May was acknowledge that there was a problem but they still didn't know the root cause. so they didn't do a recall but gave buyers assurance that they were looking into it. if the customer wanted the fuel pump replaced, they would do it but there was no guarantee that the problem has been fixed since they would replace it with the same part. i get this kasi nga naman, baka electrical or other source and problem.
they may have found the root cause only in Sep or Oct and that's when they did the recall. what irked me is the delay with which the recall was issued in the PH. when the article, came out in Oct, i immediately asked my SA about it and her reply was that the recall was in Vietnam and not PH. one month after pa nag issue sa atin tapos silent pa muna. yung delay in finding the solution is not much of an issue for me kasi may cases pa nga na naka bagong generation na, tsaka palang nagkaka recall ng previous gen.
still happy with the vehicle though.

the only definite issue with the expander that i have heard of, is the fuel pump issue.
