They were not worth buying when they were new. Nothing has changed.

I once owned a GSR with minor modifications only and I would say that it is still worth buying if you are a hands-on owner in terms of maintenance. Sa engine, mabagal talaga compared sa 1600 ng toyota at honda pero matibay makina ng GSR. Sa pang ilalim, madami kalampag at maaaddress mo lang yun kung hands on ka nga at madetalye.
Sa porma ka babawi. IMO, it is the best looking 2 door in its class at yun ang dahilan kaya napabili ako dati. Yung upuan sa likod ay good only for kids. Pero kung overall performance, I would get a honda hatch.

Pasyalan mo mitsulancerph para makita mo mga astig na GSR dun.

NO. Its even worse than the saloon version cause you get 2 less doors but the same crappy engine and transmission and crappy suspension. Take it fro me I used to own the 4 door and its a total piece of crap! That car made me hate Mitsubishi a lot...

With that budget seriously I would get a Nissan Sentra early 2000's model na lang para mas sariwa. Take advantage of Nissan's low resale value...

with your budget, you can buy 98-00 corolla (AE111) or early 00s Sentra. That would give you some money leftover for repairs that you will definitly need to do on any old car you buy.

AFAIK, it is the only two door in it's class.

Porma-wise, the last units (03?) looked okay. I'd still look at a Sentra or Corolla of the same vintage though.
