January 3rd, 2018 11:16 AM #1711Problem: "New Year Time Glitch"
Reporting a strange HU (headunit) issue here from the MMS Facebook page. Affected units seem to be 2012, 2013 and 2014 MS HU units. Multiple owners have commented that after the stroke of New Year 2018, the clock on the HU has been resetting almost daily.
We've tried calibration and going back to factory settings but the head unit still resets after a few hours. Let's post some tips here if you bump into a solution through experimentation barring a head unit change. Thanks

January 3rd, 2018 12:22 PM #1714Lucky you bro. On MMS, there's 3 different threads reporting on the glitch and I estimate there's more or less 20 of us owners observing the same thing after New Year 2018. We're suspecting a firmware error. I wish we could sync it to the Navi time which is always correct.

I Had to set the head unit's clock twice today ⏰😠
Anybody here now know the fix for this inconvenience?
Btw, my gps isn't updated since i've been relying on waze for my navigation needs. Layo din kasi sa amin ang winterpine

January 3rd, 2018 04:10 PM #1718Someone shared on the thread to try to sync the clock with the Navigation Time which is always correct. Have you tried looking at the HU menu for that option? I'll tinker with mine later too. If all else fails, I hope it's just a software / firmware problem that winterpine can find a solution to. Other owners are starting to chime in and report the same bug it's probably more than 20 owners now with a good percentage of them, 2012 owners like us.
Quite funny that a supposed Y2K-like bug is affecting a clock timer in 2018.

i'm also experiencing this glitch... 2012 GLS-V A/T
navigation time is correct naman but there's no option to sync the display time. i also tried RESET TO DEFAULT SETTINGS but to no avail.. the clock still goes back to the wrong time after a couple of minutes.
hoping that winterpine or much better if a tsikoteer will find a solution..

January 4th, 2018 07:30 AM #1720Update on the HU New Year Time Glitch...
Number of affected owners now has swelled to 40+ and the affected years seem to be MS 2010, 2011, 2012 GLSV and GLX, 2013 and 2014 GLX and one case of a Mirage G4.
Things we tried but didn't work...
Hard Reset, factory reset, battery disconnection then restart, Compass and GPS/Screen calibration. Adjusting the clock 3-4 hours in advance so it would reset and use the actual time. Turning OFF Mix Navi.
The tricky thing is the clock seems to pick a random time setting between 1 and 9. Glitch only affects the time but other HU features are functioning well.
If purely for City driving then get the Emax7. since you already have other cars for longer drives....
