Has anyone had problems with the thermostat? Experienced overheating and casa eventually said sira na ang thermostat, so tinanggal nila. They said marami na silang montero at strada na tinanggal ang thermostat. They did not offer replacing the thermostat kasi we are a tropical country. Ngayon ang likot ng temperature gauge ko.

negative yan boss. palagyan mo ng thermostat , tsaka i-trace ang actual cause ng overheating

No offense here Sir, but if that was the comment of your casa, better look for another who's more competent and knowledgeable on your brand. Nakakainis at nakakahiya ang mga katwiran nila, wala silang pinagkaiba sa mga fly by night shops sa tabi-tabi.

I just experience an issue with my Montero GLS/SE 3.2 4M41.
Paakyat ako ng Baguio, pag overtake ko sa isang truck,
I step hard on the gas pedal and parang nag loss power yung monty ko.
For about 5 seconds hindi siya nag accelerate kahit full press na gas pedal, then nag down shift yung tranny then duon lang siya nag accelerate.
Twice ito nangyari during the climb , always during overtaking with gas pedal full press.
This is the first time it happened, and no check engine light. Kaya hindi ko alam ang problem.
Anybody experienced this? What could be the problem?

Im using Shell Vpower and my oil is Shell Helix HX7.
EGR is blanked courtesy of sir Zixx.

My FC is also becoming worse, a mechanic told me it could be the MAP sensor, baka daw barado yung hose?
And I dont know kung anong hose ng MAP sensor yung sinasabi niya na linisin.

quick question, nung full press ng pedal, is the rpm going up or not?

if map sensor yan, dapat may CEL. 2 yung possible na walang cel, 1 scv, 2 inhibitor switch. madetermine. almost the same ang feeling ng power loss, the main difference, 1 akyat pa din rpm, the other wont

I can only say that tanga yung casa na yan. Walang pinag kaiba yan sa mga tabi tabi nag re repair ng radiator na irerecommend na huwag kabitan ng thermostat yung sasakyan. Dapat iwasan yang casa na yan.

Sir Zixx umakyat yung rpm almost mag redline.
Baka SCV , ano pba symptoms ng sira na SCV?
Yung high fuel consumption dahil din kaya sa sirang SCV?
