(my personal opinion) parang ang weird to buy a car in 2023 without ADAS

and Yes, walang ADAS yung new Ertiga... pero at least exempted sa coding.
Meron 100k discount kung cash o outside casa bank financing.

So far mukhang Xpander Cross ang best deal when it comes to basic safety features with better ground clearance, usable roof rails and suv-like good looks.

The Ertiga, just like the Geely Okavango, is just a mild hybrid. Technically it's not included in the list of hybrid vehicles exempted from number coding.

    ... it's not...?!!!
    good grief!

    i googled,
and the literature i muddled thru neither said a resounding YES nor a deafening NO.
instead, it was a sea of lawyer-speak that, i feel, the lay man will not be able to fathom.

May provision daw na dapat to be considered 'hybrid' electric motor should be able to propel the vehicle without the need for the internal combustoon engine. Di raw pwede ang may electric assist ng mild hybrid...

Basta may nakalagay daw na "HYBRID" sa Certificate of Registration under FUEL..

For your convenience, we will keep this as straightforward as possible. All you’ll need to have with you is a copy of your vehicle’s Certificate of Registration. From there, the enforcer will refer to the “Fuel” category of the registered vehicle, and if it reads “HYBRID”, then you’re in the clear. Otherwise, you’ll have to go to the LTO to have your vehicle certified as a Hybrid. As you can see, this process has been confirmed by the MMDA through their official social media account Messenger.

one article i saw, mentioned that to qualify for coding exemption, the vehicle must be able to propel itself using electricity alone, for a certain distance. you mentioned it above.
others say, as long as "hybrid" appears on the document, exempt-able na. qwerty mentions this one, naman.
