Thanks for the input. The dashboard picture was taken when they are parked at shell station. But as per their confirmation, the oil lamp symbol was flashed with beeping alarm, then the alarm was gone when they pulled to stopped.

Engine oil doesn't just leak out on a brand new vehicle. They were able to get the vehicle from the dealer and then travel to Tarlac without any alarms so it's unlikely that the oil just leaked out or evaporated.

As long as the vehicle isn't used, the mixed oil in your engine won't have any long term effect. Just have it flushed and filled with the proper oil. Tell them not to rev too much when driving with overfilled oil in the engine though.

People should really take time to read the operating manual of their vehicles before using them.

They refilled only 1L of oil, and when they checked again the oil level at home around 10am yesterday, the oil level is at 1st point, which is the minimum level. There was no leakage in garage. So it is safe to say that the oil level is really low out of CASA.
I'm still waiting update from our agent on what should be done.

    1. Make sure your iphone 6 is connected to the monty wifi (check in settings if it says its connected; you wont see a wifi connected logo at the top of the phone because there's no internet detected)
    2. On the monty touchscreen menu, tap WiFi as the source.
    3. Swipe up on the phone Homescreen and tap AIrplay and make sure its set on Mitsubishi. From here you can toggle the mirroring option.

    No usb cable needed.

This didnt work for an iphone 4S. Havent tried it on a 5/S.

Note: streaming video from the internet wont work. Only video thats locally saved on the phone seems to play on the screen.

On a separate note, when an iphone is connected via usb, music on the phone is detected by the entertainment system but not video. In previous model, it came with a special 30-pin iphone cable with usb/audio jack connector, which was the only way i could play video from an iphone (4s). Not sure if there is a special lightning usb/audio jack connector that they didnt ship from thailand to cut cost.

I’m based abroad so my wife and brother in-law took out the unit from dealer. After acquiring the car that day, they just leaved it parked, since my wife don’t know how to drive yet and my brother was busy on other things. Then yesterday, Saturday July 16th, they travelled to Camiling Tarlac. When on the way returning to Metro and plying NLEX, they encounter beeping sound and flashing alarm display(as per the pic). So they pulled over to shell station. Apparently it is for oil level alarm, so they checked the oil level. To their surprise, the oil level is almost nothing (as per the pic, oil level is only the tip, not on the finger) even way below the minimum oil level. They are noob in dealing with this issue, so they called our agent but our agent don’t know anything technical, she just advised them to fill up any diesel engine oil, OMG! I’m always on call to my wife then. I have read something here in Tsikot that we need special engine oil grade for new Montero, but I’m not sure what it is. My wife just bought the most expensive engine oil in shell (as per the pic) and per advice of shell personnel that it should be ok for our monty. They were able to come home safely Sunday early morning. But upon my further research, I read herein tsikot that new monty engine should have at least API CI-4 or ACEA C1-4 grade, yet the one refilled only is labelled only as ACEA A3/B4. Now I’m worried that lower grade oil was mixed into our engine. We called our agent but she just can’t answer for anything till Monday. I want to return my monty ASAP to CASA, but since we don’t have OC/CR yet, we can’t drive out the unit starting tomorrow till we got the OR/CR. For now I want my CASA to do engine oil flush, and be filled with mitsu’s own oil. I also don’t like the mixed oil na nakababad sa makina. I’m worried of any long term negative effect on our engine.

Please share your input on our case, we are just nood and don’t know much how to deal with this.

    1. Base on the picture, I don't see any indication that your Engine Oil has warning or Low Level.
    2. Base on the same picture, The beeping sound can be an indication that you dont the Remote Key with You (It will Beep louder).
    3. When the engine is warm, It is normal that you may not see anything on the Dip Stick as the oil still in circulation with the engine.

Be careful next time as too much oil can also harm your engine.

Sorry for the misleading picture regarding the dashboard display, the picture was taken when they are parked at shell station. I just thought it will display the same alarms when they were on the move. But as per their confirmation, they encounter the oil lamp symbol flashed with beeping alarm, then the lamp symbol and beeping was gone when they pulled to stopped.

Below pic was taken a while ago, after the monty was parked more than a day now and engine not started. As per them, the oil level is only at minimum point even after topping 1L oil on the indecent.

May discount na ba sa 4x2 At premium? Balak ko sana kumuha ng SUV this year and montero is on top of the list. Sulit b ang price difference neto over the standard 4x2?

I bought my gls premium from motorplaza baguio just this june. They gave me a 50k discout kahit bank financing. For me the price difference of about 150k is worth it. Lalo na since puro safety features yung nadagdag over the base gls. Of course ok din naman ung leather seats, hill start assist etc na nadagdag.

Kabig sa kanan/Veering to the right issue...

Brought my unit to Diamond Greenhills (EDSA) last Monday for wheel alignment and steering wheel off center adjustment. The alignment technician confirmed the issue during our road test. He did wheel alignment at the casa and off center adjustment during the road test. Parang nawala or na minimize naman yung pag veer to the right but I still have to test it on better roads (NLEX/SCTEX/TPLEX).

Question, the alignment technician said that the specs for wheel alignment of the new montero is the same with the old montero. Is this true?
