Our labandera is "stay out", 4x per week only, does the laundry and ironing, plus cooking when she's here and other chores (but not required, gusto lang nya gawin). Washing machine plus hand wash delicate clothes or when necessary. P7.5k/month plus P30/day tricycle fare so bale P7.9k, plus we give her extra during enrollment time for her college kid. The other 3 days/week she works for someone else. I gave her my daughter's old bike, saya nya kasi now she does not need to spend for tricycle fare. And wifey still gives her the 30/day for the tricycle. Ok lang naman coz she is very responsible, kahit gabi na basta may nakita siya na gagawin hindi pa uuwi.

Yung stay in namin na maid matagal na gusto sisantihin ni misis wala lang kasi makitang kapalit. Walang alam gawin kundi mag celphone, araw araw need pa utusan kung ano gagawin nya.

She does the cleaning, washing dishes, walk the dog 2x/day, and generally "taong bahay" when my wife is out. Eto yung kum baga sa motorcycle e "kick start", kung di mo sisipain hindi aandar.

after some time studying in the states... land of coin-operated automatic washing machines...
our older kasambahay saw my unpacked clothes and remarked, "duktor, sinong naglaba ng mga damit ninyo duon..? hindi marunong..."
we have a washing machine at home, but she insists on manual kuskos..

That's why I don't like machine washed clothes. I have tops that are 15 yrs old that I could wear until now bec it's handwashed. Although there are labanderas too that are "mabigat ang kamay".

Ang rate sa amin ng manual labor ay 350 per day. Magtatabas ng damo, plantsadora, maglalaba, etc.

Yug kasambahay namin ay stay-in (except weelends). Kasama na lahat - alaga ng bata, minsan nagluluto, laba, at linis ng bahay. Hindi na kasama ang plantsa dahil mahirap mag-plantsa. Pero pag hindi dumating ang plantsadora namin, nag-volunteer naman siya kahit yung isusuot lang for the day.

Auto-matic washing machine kami eversince kaya madami siya nagagawa at madami din siyang pahinga hahaha. Aga nun matulog. Around 8am natutulog na pero 2am gising na hahaha.

This option is cheaper but of course, kelangan lang maayos pa rin yung pagload ng damit. Kapag walang paki, paghahaluin ang puti at de color.

Meron kaming housekeeper, daily except Sunday (8:00-17:30) and will do the "loading at sampay". *P4500.

Hirap na din maghanap ng stay in. Most prefer stay out whether helper, driver or boy.
