They're all around still. 2 other Asian scale model companies have come into being: Dragon and Academy. I'm not sure if one of them took over Otaki's line. Either way, that spelled the end of its nice box art.

Tamiya used to be MRC-Tamiya. I think MRC denoted extra attention to detail. I think it's now MRC-Academy. But, I still prize Tamiya models. Hasegawa is also another excellent model company, probably even better than Tamiya. Their prices have tripled since the last time I remembered buying one.

I still have a bunch of scale models from the past that I have yet to assemble. Most are in NV. Here's a small stash here. Some of them are also "extinct" like that original Millenium Falcon from Return Of The Jedi.

Dial - I remember the jingle: "Aren't you glad you use Dial!" Pati si Boyet de Leon, inendorse ito.

Hehehe, naalala ko rin yung tinapay na may palaman na pula. Can't remember how we called it though, pero nagkaroon din ng blue/ube na kulay nito.

Wow and yes to that! I remember na one peso lang yan per 200ml+ bottle before.

Rodeo rootbeer's slogan was "Catch the wild taste of Rodeo today!" with matching jingle pa yan .

Oh yes, the Coke, Royal Tru-orange, and Lem-o-lime promos! Anyone remember this? Yung may mamang naka-bihis Dracula tapos tinapatan siya ng Keychain bottle flashlight na korteng bote ng Coke & Royal, sabay sabi ng, "Wawawaw, boteng umiilaw!" Damn, I like the promos by Shell before like the Action Transfers. Hehehe fleet ng business namin dati ang pinakakargahan ng dad ko kaya piyesta kami ng brother ko sa promo na yun.
