i know it's kinda out of place to ask you guys this question....

but im wondering what to wear during extremely cold climates aside from the usual bulky jackets.....

do you know where i can buy THERMAL suites? ung parang...masikip na sinsuot para ma maintain yung heat..para di na kailangan ng madaming patong of sweat shirts and jackets...

    thanks~!!!!

Glenn: Actually, wearing a thick jacket is not your best route. Layering is the most effective.

Wearing different level of clothing is important, so is staying dry (meaning don't sweat underneath the jackets).

Your first line of defense is thermal underwear of course. But you should have that, that'll keep you warm, it has to fit snugly too.

Next few layers should be breathable, fleece is good so will wool... Wool is preferred dahil light sya and breathable. Your last few layers should be those ski-jacket types, preferably with goretex para waterproof. Usually mga ski jackets (like mine, Northface sya), nahihiwalay ang thinner goretex windbreaker na water proof sa inner lining na down filled.

Getting a scarf will help A LOT. dun ang usual na pasok ng hangin kasi.

Gloves and knitted cap is a given, you lose heat fastest sa extremities.

Feet, unless aakyat kang bundok or whatever, dont worry too much, a thin sport sock + a thick winter sock will keep you toasty...

    Punta kang alaska?

Merong winter clothing store dito sa Cash and Carry. You can also have thermal wear tailored yata. Beats the 1,450 or so for Marks and Spencer.
