May 5th, 2013 07:13 PM #1The roof seems to be springing a lot of leaks lately...considering that the past few rainshowers this year haven't been that intense, i'm a bit concerned that it might get worse during the wet season.
From what i gather from past repairs, the GI sheets seem to be OK, nagkakaproblem lang sa mga dugtong/nailpoints.
Ano kayang magandang solution:
1. Vulca seal
-- imho, a bit hard to pinpoint where to apply it; sa tag ulan lang talaga magiging obvious
2. rubberized roofing
-- i'm hoping that coating the entire roof would be aone shot deal, to seal up the leaks and also provide heat insulation.
-- mahal ba to? how much per sqm lalabas?
-- any special procedure to apply it, or do we just buy a few cans and paint it on?

If leaks were not a problem w your roof before, Clean the gutters, spouts and drains tapos vulcaseal muna. Check well the edges and flat sheets that may need repair or replacement. Vc
Sa akin, design defect talaga yung isang part ng house so perennially may leak problem.
I doubt the rubberized will help much though. Mas okay pa rin insulation.
Check also for water seepage from the walls and gutters.Last edited by vinj; May 5th, 2013 at 07:38 PM.

on the shee metal joints try evo-stick flashband. this is like a tar like band of sticky tape. available in most hardware stores. medyo ma kamahalan lang. it comes in various lenghts and widths. for all its worth, get a guy that you can pay on a per day basis and have him slather vulca seal on every nail or bolt head that he sees, plus the roof edges.
