Planning to buy a power generator also. Yung mga new generators ngayon pwede bang iwanan nalang naka-ON overnight?
And kung 1 2.5hp and 2 1.5hp aircons ang sabay gagamitin, mga ilang KVA kaya ang kelangan?

Yes, you can leave them ON overnight. Make sure that you have enough petrol/large tank to run them....
Bro, 1HP is 746W. 2.5HP + 1.5HP + 1.5HP = 5.5HP = 750x5.5= 4125W
When a compressor starts, its drain on current is approx 3X so, 4125W x 3 = 12375W or 12375VA. Normally, factor of safety is X2. However, it is your call. My take is 25KVA.... (Have no real experience here, though)....

don't look at the running amperes because that is not the maximum load. starting amperes ang nagde-decide ng size ng genset. starting amperes of electric motors is between 2x (for fans, low loaded motors) to 3x (compressors, aircons) of the running amperes. sa 2.5 hp aircon that's 2.5x760/220 = 8.6A running amps (1.9KVA). 8.6A x 3 = 25.8A. so needed kva rating to effectively run a 2.5 hp aircon is 25.8 x 220 = 5.7 KVA.
to be sure, look at your aircon and see what the rated amps is. multiply by 3 and that is the starting amps. then multiply by 220 and that gives you the required minimum kva rating of the genset.

Direct conversion lang ba from HP to Watts? Kasi yung sa 1.5HP aircon and nakalagay na Power input is around 2100W.

add ko lang, just read cvt's post kasi.
1hp = 746 watts in "classroom" calculations.
in real life the inductance losses must be taken into account, and 1hp = 760 watts is the usual number used when computing for electric motors.

Any idea how much a 10KVA genset costs? And what is better: gas or diesel fed?

fortuner, I saw that kind of MTS yesterday sa home depot, koten yata brand, and problema ko sa ganyan is wala siyang lock, although meron siyang breaker, I'm looking for more of yun parang box talaga na pwede malagyan ng padlock, kasi sa garage ko ilalagay para walang makapagbukas... wala rin sa ace eh...mamaya punta ako ng wilcon...pag wala sa binondo na sa alonzo, ulan kasi ng ulan pag hapon kaya di ako makalakad sa alonzo

July 28th, 2007 09:36 AM #100We have a Honda Elamax yata iyon. for almost 8 years na.
nalubog pa ito sa baha for 4 hours. gumagana pa din!
Is it possible to join hondaclubph with this?
Ilang taon at km run na yang casa stock battery na motolite mo ?
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
