Anyway, our language is so bartardized (almost) na kaya if you use the translate option ng Google or Edge, what comes out is still kinda gibberish pa rin. Lalo na sa mga comment sections ng Facebook at YouTube, mahihirapan pa rin maintindihan ng non-native Tagalog speakers. Halo-halo na kasing Taglish, swardspeak, konyotiks, saka street slang. Yung ibang postings naman in other language like Spanish, Latino, Dutch, French at even yung mga kapitbahay natin na Indon at Malay... kapag ipina-translate mo to English almost 90% perfect, including grammar. Kahit nga yung may ibang characters like Arabic, Japanese, Chinese or Greek can have very intelligible translations automatically.

I wouldn’t call it bastardization. It’s just the evolution of language. Creole is a natural offshoot of multiple cultural influences.

The same “bastardization” you describe is also true when I use Google Translate for Korean. What Google gives you vs what a native speaker would say is different most of the time.

in my opinion,
google puts forth several possible translations, and it is up to the user to decide which one is the better fit for the situation.
it's just a computer. a tally machine.

I did mention Facebook and YouTube comments (as well as with TikTok and Instagram most probably) to give context to my 'bastard' statement. Sa emails, letters, publications medyo matino-tino pa naman. Pero sa mga socmed pages talaga ang kinakapos sa sentence, phrase, or word organization.

Why is it important? Well, these are for the most part public forums with international audience. May sense naman sana yung mga sinasabi pero it gets lost in translation. Personally, it's quite irritating especially when trying to get proper context to a post (mostly with videos in another language) pero you can't make heads or tails dahil di natatranslate ng tama.
