Local Celebrity Endorsers. Do they work for a brand or against it?

Just a question. You see Kris on most every brand nowadays from low end detergents to bathroom tiles to Bench. Same with many Celebs.

Gone are the days when advertising here had an idea and here are the days where you place your brand next to a well known smiling face and then voila you have an ad.

Now there are those that claim that they help spur sales for the brand. Others contend that while they do they merely cause than sales spike but the brand suffers because people recall the Celeb and not the brand. For example, people saying did you see (place celebs name here)'s ad and not the name of the brand.

What do you think of this?

note: also celebs seem to be scandal ridden. is that a factor in an ad?

Big help for adverters. Sobrang lakas ng benta ng Fitrum dahil kay Juday. Walang stock kahit saang mercury drugstores na puntahan ko (QC Area).

advertisers specially celebs really work, clebs now endorses drugs like paracetamol, cough syrup, nutritional supplements(ensure), multivitamins...

celebs also endorses doctors, dentist and even lawyers...

yap, they do. AFAIK, si sharon cuneta ang pinaka reliable na endorser ng mga product.

Nalimutan ko na yung iba.

Tindi daw ni Sharon kasi, mula nung dalaga, nag asawa, nagka anak, nagiba ng asawa, tumaba, pumayat, kahit anong estado niya, matindi talaga humatak ng masa. Yung PH care nga daw nagulat sila sa biglang taas ng sales nung inendorse ni Sharon, ang expected ata nila ay makaka bawi sila by 6 months, pero ilang bwan pa lang ay hataw na agad sa sales.

sama mo na ngayon dito si payolo pascual, si sam milby, si sarah geronimo tsaka si kim chiu... mukhang sila yung mga tumatabo ng pera ngayon dahil sa endorsements.
