I agree! Ulysses is one of the few remaining knowledgeable reviewers who are unbiased and honest in their reviews. He owns a Mazda 3 I believe and actually has been posting a lot about it in the recent months. For a While I thought he was an ambassador for Mazda already. Hehe

as for the cx9. people ought to avoid this. maybe it wasnt tested to endure hot climates and no movement traffic [emoji28] i wonder when the overheat occured(during or after the 4hr 100kph run). heat soak, intercooler probably is too small or it didnt have much airflow.

there are lots of hot weather/climate testing by manufacturers but all i see is fast moving ones.

I agree. It's good to have straight up reviews. Pretty sure this will get looked into....Wasn't there a Mazda engineer & designer on here amongst us? Perhaps our good sir can shed some light.
Heat soak affects performance & AC. Cooling system has to address this. Let's just hope twas an isolated faulty unit.
To think....CX9, from the numbers in the MidEast, looks to be a seller.

Mazda PH releases front wheel drive Mazda CX-9 ... 480T cheaper than the AWD ... 2.35M ...

    https://www.************/2018/06/mazd...ont-wheel.html

Aside from the loss of i-ACTIV AWD, the CX-9 AWD chucks out the following:
    Sunroof
    Power Liftgate
    Bose sound system
    Active Driving Display (heads-up display)
    Auto-dimming Rear View Mirror
    Rear Sunshade
    Lane Departure Warning
    Lane Keep Assist
    Blind Spot Monitoring

Oh, and it also gets smaller wheels and tires (255/60 R 18 versus 255/50 R 20) and the front passenger seats moves just 4 ways instead of 6.

It can be had for P 2,350,000. By comparison, the AWD Grand Touring sets you back P 2,830,000—that’s a savings of P 480,000.

Lights are different too. Not curve adaptive, no high beam assist and a shorter throw. Oh well, I guess that's the cost of those additional features. Those features are nice and actually helpful but you can certainly drive without them. The 18" tires would make the ride even smoother. I just wish though, they had Apple Car play. The best feature I like is the turbo and that's standard regardless of trim.

Where can we buy the rain guard for the cx9?
The ones at Lazada don’t fit the front windows as mentioned in the feedbacks.

Yeah. The size of the CX-9 interior is tempting however I'm still very very happy with my diesel CX-5. [emoji16]
