Congrats to your new CX-7, probably your the first tsikoteer to own this nice CSUV. I think sir EQaddict is also buying this CSUV. Congrats to both of you. Head turner to malamang.
Anyway, FYI lang, according to intel info from fellow tsikoteer, probable SRP of the new Hyundai Tucson iX would start from 1.1M to 1.3M which is a very competitive price.

Looks like the real battle will be between the CX7 and CRV 2.4. Same price, but the Honda outnumbers the Mazda's horses and torque figures despite the 2.4L engine vs. the 2.5, plus it has AWD vs FWD. Mazda has more safety features and all those acronyms for handling like ABS, EBD, DSC, TCS. Based on photos, CX7 seems to have better amenities and looks. I am sure the CX7 won't outsell the CRV but it'll gain enough buyers. Whether enough to meet Mazda sales targets or not - we'll see if and when Mazda starts to offer discounts and freebies.
Out of curiosity, if you guys had the P1.495M, which would you choose? The CRV 2.4 or the CX7?

If I will use the CSUV mainly in city and flat highways only, then I'd rather choose the CX-7 because of its sportier looks and additional safety features like DSC and TCS. Missing safety features in the local variant are Blind-spot system and Emergency Stop Signalling system.

Malamang eto yung white CX-7 na nakita kong nakadisplay sa Mazda Greenhills last Monday. Ngayon Red CX-7 na nakadisplay. Ganda ganda kahit anong angle mo tingnan. Pati interiors maganda din based sa pictures na nakita ko.
Congrats to your wife sir sherwintommy. Siya malamang una naka-drive nito. By the way, may built-in GPS na ba yung unit nyo? Pwede bang magpalagay ng 3rd row seats o masyadong cramp na yung space sa likod?

Well... we bought the CR-V 2.4 AWD... but if it had been available at the time, I would have pushed for the Mazda CX7.
The 2.5 is weaker on paper, but it has a broader spread of torque and is an even match for the Honda 2.4. Honda has tighter ratios on the low gears, while Mazda has tighter ratios on the high gears... in other words, the Honda is faster from 0-100, but acceleration drops off dramatically after that, and the CX7 should catch up.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Gusto ko na malaman kung aabot ng 8 km/ liter FC neto pang city driving... Mukhang 6 km / liter lang kaya neto e... Would consider buying if it can reach 8 km / liter and get the 1.3m sweet deal sa cash buyer.
