Done with car installments, need to cancel mortgage at Registry_of_Deeds-Quezon City.
Went to City Hall, Information desk directed me to go to Land Registration Authorty located beside NSO at East Avenue.
Went there but I was told that Registry of Deeds for Vehicle is in LTO.
Went to LTO, they said it is in City Hall.
I'm sure somebody here already went through this & very familiar with procedures to obtain a new Vehicle Certificate of Registration.
Somebody please help me, where exactly is this REGISTRY OF DEEDS yung para sa sasakyan hindi para sa lupa.
Salamat po ng marami.

Mortgages on vehicles are registered with the LTO branch where your car is registered at. Look at your Certificate of Registration, it should be in the top portion. You have to bring your copy of the Release of Mortgage document given to you by the financing institution where you originally got the loan for your car.

These are the steps on releasing your encumbrance on the vehicle.
1. Get bank release of encumbrance from your branch / bank's head office.
2. Go to Registry of Deeds (usually where you reside). Get all necessary docs.
3. Go to LTO (indicated in your CR) to transfer the registration to your name.
Hope this helps.
