Brand new kasi, if I am the buyer, yan din yung irerequest ko.
Magrerelease sila ng brand new unit, dapat walang defect.

Considered as defect kasi yan if hindi align (although hindi naman gaano ka serious na defect).
Siguro mag make sense if more than 3 months na yung unit, may reason sila to decline the request.

i was informed by the casa mechanic/SA,
    "... within 1000 km".

    but yes,
the downtime in the casa is so long, i would sooner bring it to the independent alignment shop.

Could it really have just been an alignment issue, knowing it took multiple back and forth with Toyota Casa to correct it?

I recall the current gen Montero's that arrived original had an "alignment" issue and it really had to do with the steering being biased to one direction that they MMPC had to resolve for those initial units of production they got. It "should have" been corrected in the succeeding batches.

So for this Fortuner to not "drive straight" eventhough it is bnew leads me to believe the issue wasn't related to alignment or even balancing, but rather the "centering" of the steering maybe being biased towards one direction? Just a guess.

    1. is it a design glitch, such that all units suffered the same malfunction? as such, no amount of the usual adjustment may correct it?
    2. is it a shop system "mal-adjustment" caused by biased adjusting person? they all swerved or their manibelas weren't "straight", but all are correct-able by re-adjustment.
    3. a random human error? malas lang nang buyer...
    4. it's not the vehicle; it's the out-of-round tyre.

i vaguely remember in the past,
... all the headlights were adjusted at the factory, biased in favor or right-hand-drive.

back-jobs are a common thing in wheel alignments. i remember, coming back at least once more, for "tweaking".

there is something similar in the watch threads,
seiko are said to have this reputation of minute factory mal-alignments of their faces and bezels...
also, their watches' accuracy ratings are all over the place; it seems, according to some writers, seiko did not adjust their products to function at their possible best, but succumbed to the "puede na" mentality.

I prefer to have ours dialed in over my go-to alignment shop. I can personally dictate the tolerances, test & have the car up the lifter when a redo is needed.
Stress over simple matters just isn't worth the time.[emoji4]

Is it normal to use 25 wheel weights/tinga for balancing a single wheel? Feels wrong bruhs, seems predatory
