Can't decide between these two tires guys, hope you can help me make a decision on which one is better in terms of durability and wet grip. Which one would you choose?

    Westlake SA57

    Achilles ATR Sport 2

    Thanks guys

yup your right pala. TMP switched to Japan-sourced db decibel na yung OE ng Innova since late 2019. (Just seen a 2020 model with 4719 DOT code.) at pati na rin sa neighbor ko. decibel nga talaga.

Even the brand new ones (post facelift) on showrooms they all wear decibels made in Japan. (saw earlier parked behind me with 0321 DOT date code.)

The tread pattern look "like" toyos&falken na popular sa Thailand.

Hi, everyone. Looking/scouting for 31x10.5 r15 tires. Current is westlake. Previously was Yokohama. But due to budget constraints, hirap maglabas para sa Bridgestone or Yokohama these days..

BTW, after so many years, now lang ako naka visit sa forums and magpost. Hehe.

    Thanks guys

before, was using good year and/or yokohama. then i tried my first china-made tires in Runway (Enduro 816). used up 2 sets, 8 tires in total. then i tried a set of Goodride (RP 28). Comforser (CF2000) just 2 tires. and now runing on a set of Achilles 122.

in terms of driving dynamics, so far I never had problems with any of these affordable (read: cheap) tires. And they all lasted until they reached (or just before) the tires leveled with the treadwear indicator.

note: usually just drives with the wife on workdays, and 2 small kids on weekends. never overloaded the car.

i don't think i will ever go back to purchasing a tire that's almost double the price of what i paid for all the recent tires i've used.

In my case, several years ago, I strictly bought either Yokohama tires or Dunlop tires only on my old projects. Had very good experiences running Yokohama S Drives and Dunlop lm02 tires at the time even if these tires wore out faster than expected.

Decided to try Federal SS595 after these tires as they seem to be highly recommended by people from the community for good grip at a budget price. Worked well as recommended with the exception of the sidewalls cracking prematurely. Tires were maintained meticulously in maintaining tire pressure ( 33 psi ) weekly, never ran over potholes, and even made sure that the manufacturing date was within a year on the day of purchase. Even still, sidewall cracks started appearing after 2 years of use.

Opposite for me. Started with Achilles, then went Kumho/Yokohama/Bridgestone. Now using Michelin Pilot Sport 4 - won’t go back to cheap tires anymore.
