    Yung issues about the different fuel filter models as mentioned by lensio, and the oil pump chain as mentioned by trendy, are more with the gen1 design. As per Kia when I sent in my Sedona, these were addressed with the gen2 versions. Although some gen2 versions gray units may still have the old filter and pump chain problems. But all local gen2 are already corrected. However, they still was not able to answer me when I asked why there is their claimed dirt inside my injection pump IF their new filter design was expected to be better?

    Trendy, yung built in head unit looks the same as with mine in the gen2. Mine doesn't have a clock on the head unit. Nasa overhead pa rin.

    mga boss, pwede ba magtanong ulit? yung naputolan ng oil chain ba, ano na ang tinakbo nyo? ilang kms na kaya? kung naputol ito, i believe overheat ang labas? tapos zero oil pressure so meaning parts arent lubricated?

    when we have the oil chain changed, pwede ba yung pang sedona na? or hindi rin sya kasya sa gen 1 engines?

    sir 50+ na yung tinakbo. di naman nagoverheat pero as you've said, 0 oil pressure.
    nakausap ko yung service advisor, ang sabi nya, iba na nga raw yung sa local sedona (as altec pointed posted before). 2002 and up iba na.
    mas mataba daw yung chain at yung lock nung chain is black. yung sa previous models "tanso" daw yung color ng lock.
    mas matibay yung black kasi wala pa daw syang nakitang bumigay na oil chain sa sedona models. di ko lang nacheck kung pwede yung bago na ang ilagay. tanong ko na lang bukas or sa weekend pag punta ko dun.

    how do u drive pala? birit ka ba ng birit? where is that chain attached to? crank? kakatakot yan ah. pwede bang palitan na yan kaagad sa next na PMS?

    Hello peps,

    Thsi coming Sept 3 uuwi ako ng pinas para sa aking anual vacation. I bought some goodies for my Sedona. Some of them, I already sent by balikbayan box and the rest I will just hand carry. Anyway, I will be installing a parking sensor. It is a 6 channel sensor 2 front 4 back.

    Hi Lensio. Is that the type of parking sensor where you have to drill holes in the bumper to accommodate the sensor probes? Will that be a D-I-Y project, or does it have to be done by an auto electrical shop?

    Post ka naman ng pics pagkatapos; I'm curious to see how a Sedona looks with the sensors in the front bumper. Yung sa akin kasi sa likod lang ang sensors.

    Yes, D-I-Y project sya. That is why it includes a drill bit. AKo na ang mag-iinstall kasi, I have already a pictures and measurements.

    hello guys! long time no post.

    just brought our carnival to kia quezon avenue, right after araneta avenue. staff are accomodating and service is fair. anyway, remember nakapagpalit na ako ng high-pressure hose sa P/S? guess what may leak pa rin. this time it came from the P/S pump. pag start sa umaga ang ingay. plus the squeak im hearing from the alternator. indication pala yun na kelangan ng palitan ang fan belts. they overhauled the P/S pump and replaced the alternator & A/C fan belts. voila! wala na ang ingay.

    curious ako diyan sa oil chain na yan. what does it do? baka kailangan na rin papalitan ung sa amin.

    hi guys, Update lang. My mechanics in my motorpool confirms the fuel knock mentioned by Kia. May dumi daw sa injection pump. If I dont have it fixed, eventually its going to create more damage. They don't know also how the dirt got in there if ever it is dirt. One mechanic suggested to unload the gas tank and load regular diesel instead of biodiesel and see if the noise goes away. I told him how would that help if they say there is clogging that is causing the noise. 2nd, Kia says there is no access to the injectors unlike isuzu diesels. Nagsuggest yung isang mekaniko yung superior additive ipasok sa hose after the fuel filter going into the injection pump. I am scheduled to meet with the australian supplier this 3pm to have it done. Will keep you posted.

    Yung gen 1 and gray gen2 units meron din ba kayong RRHEATER button, when pressed, switches on a heater blower around the legs of the rear passenger cabin? That should be quite good for people in Baguio! But seems the heat is not controlled?

    Regarding the oil chain, from what I understood with Kia, when they were informed of such problem, they replaced those gen1 with the new chain design, so I assume pwede palitan, I just forgot to ask if any modifications are also needed aside from the chain.
