May 18th, 2009 04:40 PM #1I have been searching for a nice step board for my new carnival but all I have found are the same old metal (stainless steel or aluminum) step boards. When I did a search on google I found that Kia Australia has a sports pack option that includes color keyed step boards as seen here. Would anyone know where I can get a set here in the Philippines?
Thanks

I think Kia Pasay offered me before with this type of a step board.. You can try calling them.. Or you can try calling seiring if they are selling the stepboard you like.

May 19th, 2009 11:29 AM #3Thanks a lot! I just called kia Pasay and they referred me to Bobby Caridad at Kia Pasig. They have these in stock for Php 26,000. They come in silver from the factory so they will paint it clear white for me to match the rest of the car.

IMO lang sir, I think gastos lang po ang paglagay ng stepboard kasi po mababa lang po ang ground clearance ng carnival........
pero well, it's your car not mine...

May 20th, 2009 10:42 AM #6from the look of the clearance in the pictures it doesnt look like it has been decreased by a lot. I will measure the clearance now w/o the step board and will measure again after they are installed. but in any case my wife is 5 feet tall as is my mother in law so this helps them get in and out as well as my 2 toddlers. thanks for the advice though

May 25th, 2009 03:02 PM #9I measured my clearance before the car went into the shop and it is 22cm. When I get the unit tomorrow AM I will remeasure the clearnace. Just a quick question to bigeebabee, since you mentioned that you often bottom out since adding this stepboard. Is your unit an LX or an EX? Since the EX, my unit, rides on 17" wheels while the LX is only on 16" wheels, the 1/2 inch reduction in clearance would make my unit 1/2 inch taller than the LX. Would you know if many LX owners on this forum have complained of frequent bottoming out? I figure that as long as I am taller than the LX I should be ok. Do you agree?
Thanks for the advice and opinions

May 26th, 2009 03:08 PM #10I just got my car back. Before the installation the ground clearance was 22cm. Post installation it is 20cm. So bigeebabee was correct that it lowers the clearance by about 1/2 inch. here are my pictures. overall am happy. will let you know if I encounter excessive bottoming out. thanks everyone
