i have a 96 model......the evaporator just broke down a week ago.....and im planning on engine swapping it with a 1.6 mazda engine. Pero overall, its easy to drive, easy to maintain, very tipid sa gas, but very uncomfortable ang seats so im planning to install it with mazda seats. But the interior size is very good!! Much more maluwag kaysa sa Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic......

November 13th, 2002 05:05 PM #13this is not a joke. yung brother in law ko had a kia pride cd5 before. ilang beses na nabangga at umikot ikot pa yung kotse sa aguinaldo hiway (turned turtle ba tawag don), nabuhay pa rin sya. di ko alam kung matibay yung kotse o masama damo bayaw ko, hehehe...
ok daw sya, basta alagaan lang mabuti.

Maganda naman yung car, well-maintained.
I got the chance to drive it and it wasn't bad. thanks peeps!

Have you considered buying a Sentra LEC? Its bigger inside and rides better too!

to get some added performance, you can engine swap with a Mazda 323.

April 6th, 2005 02:46 AM #18Newbie question lang po, for 80k budget mas maigi bang bilhin ang kia pride cd-5 than a Nissan Sentra 1990 (box type) or Lancer 1988 (box type). Ang primary concern ay fuel economy since napakamahal na ng gasolina. Pero may perception na sirain ang KIA pride. Ano ba madalas masira sa Kia pride.

July 7th, 2008 09:53 AM #19hi. my first kia ws a 1997 GTX sedan. I bought it 2nd hand. I don't have any prob at first coz it is really a fuel-economy car but when I experienced an overheat, it becomes a money laden problem for me. Overhauling, constant change of spare parts (which I have a hard time finding one) and the likes. However, I believe on its practicality as a vehicle so I bought another kia, a cd5. I don't have any major problem since i bought it last aug. 2006. Just the maintenance stuff, change oil. This car is design for city driving. So, you don't get a nirvana experience on this one but it can give you a decent long distance ride though. For 80k? I would ask the seller to lower it down.

Blue-labeled Motolite Gold are factory-supplied OEM batteries with only 1 year warranty.
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
