good day tsikoteers! i need to replace the front shocks of my besta, i've canvassed these:
kayaba fluid type 650 pesos *
kayaba gas type 900 pesos *
monroe fluid 650
monroe gas 800
which do you think will be best for the van?? i'm thinking of gas but worried about the ride becoming harsh....
btw, the vans front suspension system are Torsion bars..
tia!

well matalbog naman talaga ang vans in general. if you dont haul people or cargo sa likod lagi mag fluid ka nalang, pero if you do, gas will offer you more headroom pag nalubak.

KYB gas. I tried KYB fluid pero ang bilis mag-overheat resulting in soggy shocks. Maybe because of the loads I used to carry on my Kia.
Gas shocks also make the van handle better..

Haven't tried monroes. But all the Pajero/Montero guys who did at 4x4wire, hated them so ayoko na mag-risk pa.

My own rule from experience, gas type don't mix well with leaf springs.
