Heard a rumor that there will be a 2WD version of the TOTL GT Line variant coming late this year. It gets most of everything the current 4WD GT Line has except 4WD and the sunroof. Price is supposedly just under 1.5M.
Does anyone have any inside knowledge if this is true?

What's the SL diesel version like?

Just some cosmetic changes, from spec sheet sent by Sales. Most obvious are addition of aluminum scruff plate & gas/brake pedals, glove box cooler, larger supervision cluster, no steering wheel audio control among others. They are still priced the same, though. I still saw one of the older versions, the LX, but most dealerships do not carry it in their showrooms (only the GT line).

Ever since I took interest in this car last month, 3 weeks ago, I’ve seen exactly 3 on the road, all white & all top of the line GT. I’ve seen more Ferraris than this in that span of time, & they’ve been selling this since mid 2017. KIA’s marketing & Sales really suck. Some dealers are saying that there are no SL diesels being sold, only the gas version. If I prefer the diesel, I’d have to get the GT, which is way out of my budget.

True that.
They would have sold a lot more if they bothered doing the same promotional gimmicks as HARI did for the entry level Tucson.
Both entry level variants of the Sportage and Tucson are priced close to each other, yet the Sportage has a few features more than its Tucson counterpart.
So why is the Tucson selling more?
• At least ₱100k discount
• More visibility at malls and events
• Better freebies like 10" touchscreen head unit and cameras
• Broader network of dealerships
As for the last bullet point, 3 Kia dealerships within a 2km radius of my house in QC has since closed down or moved to other car brands. This just goes to show how much poor support and marketing they're getting from the mothership.

Not just the engine. It's literally a D-Max with Mazda styling, but everything mechanical is Isuzu....
