2012 Kia Rio

Hi. Am planning to buy a 2nd hand Kia Rio HB soon. Can anyone give advice on what to look out for? What are the common issues and how to go about them?

Also in general, are they reliable cars? Thanks.

May naka experience na po ba sa inyo na ayaw gumana ng speedometer? Normal naman yung takbo ng car pero hindi tumataas ang speedometer. Wala din lamig yung aircon. TIA.

Buy your consumables from goodgear or fronte auto supply.. parts are cheap and abundant..

Replace all filters.. air, oil, cabin. For oil i use hyundai xteer or zic oil. Cabin filter is around 180 pesos.. and oil filter (korean replacement) is 80 pesos while the original is around 180 pesos..

Replace also the wipers.. i find korean glass gets scratched easily.

Just like any jap car.. its relatively reliable.. practically a gas and go car..

There is a service repair manual online. Search kirmanual..
