Just want to share my fc figures.
kia Rio 1.4 EX MT
city drive with heavy traffic (Metro Manila drive and Edsa) - 7km/l. this happened during christmas season. around 2.5 hours ako sa edsa nun. gapang talaga.
city drive with moderate/light traffic - can easily achieve 9-11 km/l
Highway drive 13 - 15 km/l. 90kph - 100kph. konting pitik ng 120 kph.
okay naman fc ko IMO.

February 1st, 2015 12:06 AM #1977Changed the way I drive recently. I started taking advantage of the EFI deleration fuel cut-off. FC is starting to improve. Basically I maintain a gear (2nd-3rd and 4th gears) that keeps me within the 1.8~2.5k rpm range. I avoid using the 5th and 6th gears if i do not go beyond 50km/h and 70km/h respectively. As per trip computer, I improved from 11.2L/100km (8.92km) to 10.7/100km (9.345km/L). The FC improvement was from a day's worth of driving around 30km * 13km/h ave. The 11.2L/100km was for about half-tank worth of driving. I am getting 0.0~1.8L/100km readings even at 30-40km speeds.
Will continue observing for the remainder of the tank.

Could also be due to the high demand that the manufacturer prioritized new car deliveries vs. spare...
