Sa pagkakaalam ko sir, petrol powered Rios comes in 2 engine variants, a 1.25L Kappa Engine (I think it is the same engine as the i10) and a 1.4L Gamma Engine.

Sa 1.1L, di kaya underpowered yong engine? Nakita ko yong bagong Picanto, talagan ang layo na in terms of design details sa mga previous models ng Kia. With Rio's looks, I think it would give the accent a run for it's money, granted na yong pricing placements nila, acceptable na sa industry.

Well let's hope kwentong barbero lang yung agent na yun coz I think Kia doesn't need another Economy Car. And hopefully hindi nila masyado istrip-off yung Rio na dadating dito like ginawa nila sa previous models. Time has come for the Philippine Rio to have Airbags and ABS.

A diesel rio? That would be a good idea.
I have a feeling the rio would have the same engine as the new accent.
Among subcompact sedans, yung accent and rio lang yung di awkward tingnan. Mapormang taxi ito pag nagkataon...

Heres the new Rio microsite...www.kia-rio.com.
It says there asia-pacific, middle east, africa, central n south america and east europe will be getting the kappa 1.2 and gamma 1.4 engines. Pang north america lang ung 6 sp m/t and 6 sp a/t with gamma 1.6 engine...

kakalabas lang ng akin dito from CASA nung July 25 pa lang 2012 KIA RIO SEDAN, A/T, 1.4 ltr, power windows, power mirror , color blue ang napili ko, ang pinag pilian kasi na available colors lang eh ang blue, beige and orange... ok din ang interior mas maganda pa ang interior niya compare sa base model ng 2012 na ACCENT pina ganda lang masyado ang labas ng accent. SAR 677/ month for 5 years, with a last payment of SAR 7,500... cool deal na, nga lang natagalan ang process sa bank...

so you mean bro, they have started rolling out the 2012 models dito sa pinas? i have been thinking of getting an accent pero kung nandito na ang rio, hintay na lang ako
