June 10th, 2015 05:16 PM #1ano po kaya mangyayari sa makina ng sasakyan especially yon may turbo kung iblock na lang yon EGR.
Sabi nila ay mawala daw yon masyadong usok at lalakas yon hatak if block yon EGR pero hindi daw maganda sa environment yon kasi ang number one reason kaya nilagyan ng EGR ay para mabawasan yon pollution. Any advice/opinyon sa mga nakaranas na ng EGR Blanking.

June 11th, 2015 09:42 AM #2Most of the problems encountered on EGR blanking has nothing to do with the engine but more so on the computer programming or mapping as they say. Others encountered check engine if the computer continually analyzed a state of the engine thinking it still has an EGR. Ask and research around for the brand of your car on others who had already done it to avoid future problems

Yung innova ko pina blank ko yes lalakas ang hatak, titipid pa at mawawala talaga yung black smoke pero ang napansin ko na nawala yung takbo sa dulo dati ang innova ko tumatakbo ng 165kph nung nagpa blank ako naging 150kph na lang...

June 13th, 2015 03:00 PM #5Isuzu XUV AT 2009 with Turbo yon ride ko, normally kasi gumagana lang ang turbo kapag naabot near to 60 kph or around 2000 rpm, then sabi ng iba eh kapag naka blank yon EGR, around 1500 rpm eh gagana na yon turbo, lumakas daw ang hatak and nawala nga maitim na usok. Baka meron na po nagpablank ng 4JA1 engine with Turbo, pakishare lang po ng experience in EGR blanking.

June 16th, 2015 05:36 PM #6Marami dito sa amin, kasi yung dati kung mekanikong kapitbahay, nag eegr blanking.. mostly Isuzu Crosswind, though hinde ako physically nakasakay, pero per them, lumalakas daw hataw after doing it.

EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) is a way to reduce nitrogen oxide in the exhaust of internal combustion engines in both diesel and gasoline by reducing the peak temperatures during combustion by diluting the amount of clean air inside the combustion chamber with pre-determined amount of exhaust gas.
Old engines do not use this EGR, imagine the carbon that enters the cylinder and eventually grinds between the piston rings and cylinder walls, this contributes to early engine deterioration.
If you think that you will pollute the environment by blanking your EGR, how about the smoke belching buses and old jeepneys that run our streets. By the way, nitrogen oxide is not tested on smoke emission tests, only carbon monoxide.
By all means, EGR must be blanked/blocked. Don't sacrifice your engine especially those that are brand new or recently bought.

June 24th, 2015 08:45 PM #8Do-it-yourself EGR valve cleaning kanina, Crosswind XUV AT, acquired January 2009, odometer at 74327..wala naman carbon deposit sa valve, parang mantsa lang...actually nilinis ko lang by paint brush, paper towel at saka air blower, kita na uli yon kulay ng bakal...nakalimutan ko lang icheck yon diaphragm/plunger kung gumagana back and forth

June 25th, 2015 06:47 AM #10Petron Diesel Maxx since acquired, maintenance sa casa until 41000 km/3 years, then sa talyer na lang yon maintenance using mobil delvac as oil, nitong huling change oil ko, odometer at 71000, i used TOP 1 synthetic oil, nabawasan yon usok at hindi na pusit mode kumpara sa IGMO ng Isuzu at Mobil Delvac kahit tapakan mo more than 3000 rpm.
I feel the same way. Not a fan.
