I guess this opti-cool has the same cleaning concept as the Toyota Casa one I posted.

Possibly. But this works. Aircon is still cool after 3 years. No holes were poked anywhere. Their machine uses the existing high and low pressure ports.

If you're willing to go all the way then I recommend EEB Aire on Timog.

i didn't have to clean my evaporator for 15yrs. until today. coz it's leaking.

so yeah don't touch the a/c unless you have to. my evap didn't even look very dirty coz it's got a cabin filter

I had our Innova's A/C cleaned and maintained just a few months ago. Nag-amoy goma ang hangin at nawawala ang lamig. May butas na ang evaporator sa harap kaya I have no choice.

Second time na yun ipina-service since binili bnew Nov 2012. Yung first time ay linis lang ng evaporator at fill-up ng silicone oil sa fan.

This time palit evaporator sa harap, palit expansion valve front and rear, at palit drier canister.

May kabigan akong mahilig magkutingting at makalikot ng sasakyan at ito ang mga napag-usapan namin about aircon repair and maintance.

So siguraduhin may powerful vacuum device yung shop na pagdadalhan niyo. Hindi enough yung power nito to suck out all moisture and air sa AC bago lagyan ng oil at freon. Pag nangyari ito, hilaw ang lamig.

I replaced mine with a China made ata worth less than 2K.

It is a precision device. Yung hindi orig, hit and miss.

    4. Yug last mechanic ko cleaned the condenser coil too using AC flushing liquid (5 cans).

Guys I get it that it is better as much as possible not to let them tinker with the aircon system. I also believe in this principle.

But what to do if the aircon system is having a hard time (to cool quickly) especially after parked under the sun for a long time?

I mean I can see the performance has declined over the years. Lets says in the morning (when the car interior is cool from the garage), Before only #1 speed blower is needed and it cools the cabin even without the rear aircon. Now #2 speed blower is needed. Same case with the rear aircon (which is essentially a blower getting refrigerant from the front aircon).

Other than the one John_M suggested, What other "safe" or "safer" (than outright disassembly) remedies is out there?
