Guys, sa akin naman, i noticed last night that may nagchichip-off na paint sa left portion ng front bumper (near the left front fender). I thought dumi lang but nung pinahid ko ng planella, lumaki pa yung chip-off!
i asked my SA kung may touch-up paint sila, he is still checking pa daw sa casa (sleek silver color ng unit ko). do any of you also notice/experience this same poor paint quality sa front bumper natin sa tucson iX? to think na pina-diamond gloss ko pa unit ko sa ziebart a week after i got my car. 5-months old pa lang tucson ko.
pls share your observations and/or your comments. thanks.

June 25th, 2010 02:11 PM #344maaayos din ng HARI ang mga issues na yan, pero siguradong hindi pa ngayon
kaya ako ayaw kong bumili agad ng all new, hintay muna ako ng review ng mga nakauna.

June 25th, 2010 02:22 PM #345actually hindi yan sa sealant or something. way way back nun batang-bata pa ako, i remember my dad complaining nun nabangga ang ford laser niya. nadale yun headlights. so palit siya made in korea, mas mura kaysa japan. hayan ang nangyari nag-momoist and then in time, nanilaw. so order ulet sya ng made in japan.
yun sta fe ko kasi one of the original batches, as in talagang may US-quality supervision pa noon. never nangyari yan moisting kahit bugahan ko pa ng hose. the moisting happened nun mga next batches na ata ng sta fe as was complained in sta fe thread, circa 2008-2009 na. si tidus ata bagong-bago sf nya ganyan nag problema.
tingin ko sa plastic na yan talaga eh. kasi kung butas yan may tubig yan. properties ng plastic na ginamit na hindi tested sa humidity dito sa'tin.

Here is my analysis of your intermitent issues with AC, or it may happen in some of your controls other than AC. Most of these intermitent issues may not be on the spare parts such as thermostats or thermo couples. This may be an issue of their Firmware. A car has its central control which has its own software in it called Firmware.
Just like in the case of recalled Toyotas, those issues which may happen intermitently are firmware issues.
Hyundai has to be aware of this and be able to root cause such issues, but I hope sa pinas they dont limit their root cause to purely component issue, they got to look at it as a FW malfunction issue as well.
Just my thoughts... I am still thinking whether or not to buy a Tucson Theta or CRV or Captiva :-)
