Direct injection improves both the throttle response and the fuel-efficiency. And it's also not so harder to service than an average indirect MPFI.

Does Hyundai not bring GDi here related to our dirty fuels? or just cost cutting?

    Probably both reasons

Direct injection failures are usually related to higher sulphur contents and low octane ratings since directly-injected engines usually have a higher compression ratio.

    trivia again:

the veloster is the first car under Hyundai's sub brand Premium Youth Lab which was targetted for young generation drivers. but in the veloster.org website where most of the owners of velosters worldwide interact, 50.81% of the members are more than 36 years old and above (middle aged to senior). and only 20% are those 25 years and below.

there are a number of owners who are 50s to 60s. pang senior citizen pala ang veloster. hahahaha......

Quite ironic, isn't it? But since older, retired people usually have more time to spend with leisure it makes some sense at all...
