actually running with that speed will produce a very fuel efficient run kahit anong koche. mas na re-realize lang naten kasi at that speed naka engage na yung 6th gear both sa tucson at sta. fe. then the rpm is just at 1500~1750rpm. so best cruising speed yan na mag yield ng best fuel economy.
kaso sa highway parang sobrang bagal naman ng 80kph, the R-evgt engine will just tempt you to go faster. haha

November 25th, 2010 01:55 AM #194just want to share my fc and break-in experience with my new hyundai accent. average 12 km/l on bumper to bumper traffic, 17-18km/l average on hiway(100-130kmh). on papers , its has 110hp only but driving it makes me wonder if they got it all wrong hehe sobrang lakas!!! hindi ko kaya isagad sa top speed( 200kph?). i wonder if the 2011 accent will get an e-vgt engine!!! that would be a hell of a car.

January 10th, 2011 02:03 AM #197Wow! 20-23 kpl real-world FC. Almost as good as what Hyundai claims it to be. (w/c people naturally are skeptical of, as they are part of marketing hype.)
Im about to make a decision on what car to buy this year.. as of now im struggling between Hyundai Accent vs Ford Fiesta.
Of course Ford Fiesta has the advantage in style, etc.
But I thought they'd be close in FC.
But reading the Ford Fiesta Fuel FC thread, it seems its more of an average of 10kpl, and not the 13kpl (City) and 22kpl (Hiway) claimed by Ford.
So just for the record,
is the Hyundai Accent (2010, CRDI model) really that better in FC vs the Ford Fiesta? I thought it would be close.
And then to complicate my Decision Making, I also have to decide what Accent Model to get ... (but thats a topic for another thread..)

January 10th, 2011 08:42 AM #199I thought Sabi sa mga threads may lalabas daw na 2011 accent crdi this year, baka daw sa may 2011, or baka later pa this year. Di naman siguro 2012 pa?
Anyway I already asked sa accent thread which is better in FC, accent 2010 crdi or the new accent 2011 gas cvvt. Yan 2 choices ko ngayon, plus ford fiesta na rin.
Accent 2010 crdi FC nasa 20-23 kpl .. Plus diesel 10 pesos cheaper than gas.
Accent 2011 cvvt gas kpl is...?? Any feedbacks/reviews yet? Ano official claim ng Hyundai sa FC nito?

The Fiesta does look good for a small sedan. Porma. But compare it now to the recently announced Hyundai Accent 2011. Halos wala na porma advantage. Their FC should also be close not far (petrol).
If any, kung may stabilization/safety feature ang New 2011 Accent e di patas na din sila ng Fiesta. Yun edge ng Fiesta (higher models). Kaso automatic mga yun.
The 2011 Accent also has enhanced distributed braking (something the City and the Fiesta have) which does matter for safety. Plus ABS.
Choosing between the two? Mas mura parts Hyundai kesa sa Ford. Long term maintenance. Resale value ng dalawa should be close.
Will wonders never cease with Motolite? Ha ha.
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
