Released in the US, coming soon to the Pinas: Genesis Coupe by Hyundai | Review 2013 Features & Prices | Performance Car. The new 2.0T boasts 274hp, up by 64 horses vs. the current model. Just when I thought Toyota was offering something exciting with the 86, Hyundai launches an all-new Gen Coupe. C Magazine announced that they did a comparo on the 2 but the article isn't on their web site. Oh well, might as well buy the magazine. June 30th, 2012 12:28 PM #3Correction: face-lift version of new GC is about 50 hp more or less, Pre face-lift was rated at around 220+ bhp for hi octane fuel (91+ I believe), nonetheless that's still a considerable power gap
^ I was expecting the 86 to look smaller in the picture. magkamukha sila haha

June 30th, 2012 11:43 PM #4For the size comparison: http://www.tune86.com/sites/default/...StangvsMX5.png
There was actually some rumors floating around that HARI would be bringing the updated V6 but still retains the old 2.0T (220~HP). But I am positive that those will stay as rumors, else they hurt their sales, and miss the opportunity to outsell the 86 for 2012.

Actually baliktad.
Yung 2.0T ang new engine 270~BHP.
Yung 3.8 V6 ganun parin.
8-speed A/T na.
Tsaka yung Brembo package sa 3.8 6M/T nalang meron.

July 1st, 2012 12:04 AM #7Wuuuut? Why? IMO The 2.0T would now cannibalize the V6 sales, unless of course you really need the Brembo package. You could get something nicer than the Brembo though, so really, why buy the V6 now?
Did they intentionally do away with the new direct injection just cause they have no competition with the V6 RWD category? But the mustang is coming so...bad move HARI?

Dude, so you still stand by your preference on the V6? The 2.0T is just getting more tempting.
