I think that's what they're doing. It's like a LWB, rear sliding door alternative to the shorter Zenix.

Even though this is a nice vehicle ... the Toyota Zenix will still outsell the Hyundai Custin ... better engine ... better brand ... better resale value... higher ground clearance ... still ... ugly interior ... seems like Toyota hires lowly paid interns for interior design ...

There is just small market for minivans ... Honda Odyssey was discontinued ... Hyundai Starex outsells Kia Carnival ... no one wants to be seen in a mom-mobile ... even though the Toyota Zenix and Toyota Innova are mom-mobiles ... but they're not minivans ...

i agree but with one point however. hybrid aside isn't it a premature assumption that the zenix has the better engine? i had my fair share of experience with hyundai at toyota engines. couldn't say one is necessarily or significantly better than the other

This should be against the former toyota previa and honda odyssey (jdm model) alas these was discontinued several years ago.

1.5l engine only on our market? Hindi kaya underpowered ito for its size?

you do know its turbocharged right? it's the equivalent of a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine

guesstimate pero i would think mas worse ang power to weight ratio ng every other 1.5liter naturally aapirated 7seater mpv/cuv out there. halos same power with the zenix cosiderably more torque. i think majority of its buyers will not complain about power
