2011 Hyundai Accent issues, problems in general

guys, im planning to get accent. yung 2013 accent ba na 1.4 MT base model wala na problem/s? im choosing this one or the ford fiesta 1.4MT Hatch.

My sister's 2011 1.4L Accent A/T issues were recently solved by a complete replacement of the CVVT system by HARI. She also went through the whole charade of ECU software updates, advice of only using only Shell 97 octane gas, etc... with still the presence of engine knocks, high rpm upshifts, poor engine performance and poor fuel economy. :ill:

Hello po mga sir, I'm also planning to get Accent 1.4MT GL variant. Okay napo ba yung knocking issues? or is it still occuring sa mga current users? I like the looks of this sedan, worried lang po ako mga sir sa issues na nababasa ko. hopefully someone will provide some feedback. Thanks in advance!

mga sir and mam, after reading this thread napapansin ko medyo maraming nagrereklamo sa 1.4 accent nila. I owned po a 2011 1.6 accent blue,
aside from the rack and pinion problem na under warranty at napalitan na rin sa casa at medyo malambot na rear shocks at naghahanap din ako ng alternative shocks na pwedeng ipalit ko para medyo masgumanda ang ride ng accent ko, ano pa po ang problem ng accent blue na na-experience na ng iba?

Napalitan na Rack and Pinion mo? May i ask when and at what Odo reading ka when you applied? And may i also ask which Casa you went to?
I just had my 15k PMS and i complained about recent noise in the undercarriage, yun pala Rack and Pinion daw, and the mechanic said it was a common problem with the Accent.

Anyone else here have that problem, ang napapansin ko lang common complaints are the Engine Knock and the Rear Shocks. What exactly is wrong with their Rack and Pinion that within 1-2 years it needs to be replaced na agad?

Re: Accent Blue issues... i could be wrong pero parang bihira ako makaread ng post here about the Accent Blue. Most people in this forums yata have the MT or the 1.4 AT version. And the Blue has a different Engine. But Im guessing (since im not an expert) the body is the same as the 1.4 (so same shocks and rack and pinion issues, etc)

Paanong noise sa undercarriage ito sir? Similar ba sa kalampag pag rough roads or pag nabigla ng approach pagtawid sa riles? I'm encountering the same at 30K and I just had my stab link replaced via warranty as we thought it was the cause but I'm still getting it.

Yes, exactly like what you said. Although bihira naman akong makadaan sa riles,sa mga potholes or uneven roads you can hear the noise.. Weird nga, when going over humps parang wala naman (although automatic na kasi akong nag sloslowdown pag humps because of poor shocks ng Accent..which is another issue on itself..)

I did road test with the Mechanic from Hyundai Casa (Otis, which just recently closed). Medyo mahirap ngang palabasin yung inggay kasi maganda naman mga roads near that casa. Yun nga sabi nya Rack and Pinion. Pero like you, i am asking in this forum to confirm.. baka palitan kasi yung part tapos di naman pala yun (just like in your case). Well at least you got a brand new stab link out of it, try mo na lang rack and pinion.. as long as Hyundai wont complain bakit ang dami nating reklamo and warranty claim... e kung yung product naman talaga nila ang may problema...

Where is your casa btw? Madali lang pag warranty claim for the stab link? How did they diagnose that? Nag road test kayo? And kung pinalitan nila ang stab link, makikita naman nila if may tama na or defective di ba?

Sirs, kanina yung alarm ko (2011 1.4 A/T) bigla na lng tumunog ng 3:30am, tapos mga bandang 5am, tapos 6:30am. on all occassions wala kaming nakitang gumalaw nung sasakyan and naka-silent din kapag nilo-lock. hanggang ngayon tumutunog pa din from time to time. nag-backread ako pero parang walang ibang solution aside from palitan sa labas.

ang gusto ko sana malaman is ano pong remedyo pwedeng gawin habang di ko pa madala sa casa? nakakabulahaw ng mga kapitbahay e. thanks!

de-activate mo yung alarm mo manually.

You see the blinking red light of your alarm at the left side and a little below your steering wheel? below it (and above the Hood-open switch) is a square cover. (in my older cars yan yung "fuse-box". Open it (may handle naman)

Theres a red button there. Press it and while pressed start your engine. It should disable your alarm.

Learned it from the casa, in my case the problem is my Remote key. Most of the time it works, but there are times it just wont lock/unlock. The problem is if when its locked/armed, I need to disarm the alarm before i can open the door. There was a couple of times I had to stand there for 5-10 minutes trying till it finally unlocks it. So i asked how to disarm alarm so next time i will just manually open my door (where the alarm will go off and i will have to disarm it using this method)

Hope this helps. Pa-check mo na rin sa casa, if need to replace warranty pwede pa yan pa-service/change warranty

regarding sa alarm / central lock, ang naging problema sa akin yung module mismo. mag deactivate yung alarm, pero half open lang yung door locks. since natapos na ang warranty ng alarm, i had it changed sa malapit sa amin. double check ng electrician and pinakita sa akin yung problema. ayun, pinalitan at nawala na rin sakit ng ulo ko hehehe.

malapit na rin yung 15K pms ko. meron din akong naririnig na ingay sa front, left side area. pag napadaan sa lubak with certain speed, tawid riles. i'll have this check sa tunasan.
