March 11th, 2010 12:59 PM #1Pls. clarify, meron na sa Pinas ng highpower R-series or nung same as UK spec?
nope i don't have a copy of that Mag....their website also doesn't state the details of Hyundai PHDM specs....
nope di ako galit- but i am very dis-appointed for the moment as i'm looking at that car to replace my Caren's 6M/T CRDi....
things i'm not liking so far
** 4WD suspension tuning seems quite bad (not my actual experience, just reading fm. UK & US mag reviews).
** 18" wheel combo also has road harshness (also same source as above).
**PHDM head specs are the cheap H4 lamp system (now way i'm downgrading fm. my Caren's 4Lamp system {dedicated Low & Hi Beams} have much more useful road illumination.
** UK review of 2.0li R Series is just same as my Carens.....

March 11th, 2010 02:27 PM #2The diesel engine of the Tucson in UK is still the old D diesel engine fitted with VGT that powers the old Tucson. That's not the R engine.

parakito, I suggest i test drive mo yung Tucson 4WD para maramdaman mo rin yung ride quality.

What warranty coverage does Hyundai Philippines offer?
Here in the US, they offer the best warranty on top of its competitors.
http://www.hyundaiusa.com/warranty.aspx
Plus they have a return program in case the owner gets unemployed or suffers long term illness.
With that on the table, I'm already close to getting this new Tucson.

In RP Hyundai was the first car company to offer a 5 year 100,000km warranty. But then Kia followed last year with its own 5 year 160,000km warranty...

I chanced upon a 2010 tucson on my way back to manila.. Naghahabulan kami from Gerona tarlac up to SCTEX, i was driving a 3.2 montero sport. The tucson's acceleration was quicker when we were overtaking cars & buses along the highway stretch, i knew it right coz its lighter & smaller.. When we entered SCTEX that was it, the tucson was the first to get the card at the toll booth then sprinted right away..After a few kilometers away i was trailing the tucson on its back then raced, we were almost even until i overtook it when i reached 175 km/h going to 190.. Bilis din ng tucson lalo na when the diesel R engine comes in
