Not sure if it's the same engine, but it has a bit better output. CVT has given some feedback on a personal Gen 3 to Gen 4/GS comparo in the GS TCI thread, I believe. Sorry, no idea on the going rate.

With a difference of 3Km/L (6Km vs. 9Km average for example); and a diesel fuel pump price of P43/L, I estimate na "mababawi" ko lang (sa krudong nakunsumo ko) ang P300K na difference in price at approx 125,500 Km.....

Sa ngayon , after almost 5 years (lugi na ako),- 25,000 Km pa lang natatakbo ng GS namin....

Bro, para di sumama loob mo. For me, personally, those 10-12 km/L tanks are few and very far between since my GS is a city dweller. Unlike yebo, who's out on the road very often when he's in the country, hehehe!

My in-city consumption is similar to bratski's -- 6-7 km/L max. Pambawi na lang somewhat is that it's diesel. And in comparison with a gas-fed van this size, say an E-150, it sips fuel for a comparable performance. Not sure what the Super Grandia makes in the city though. But compared to those two, I find the GS to work for me even if I drive alone.

And my mileage as of this morning is 25,175. Hehehe! Change oil time soon. Any recommended oil?

Used this up to my 15KKm PMS:

And then for my 20KKm and 25KKm PMS, I used this:

Pino naman ang takbo ng makina,- with UniOil's EuroIV diesel...

    1. Black Limousine leather seats
    2. 4 captain chairs (2 in front, 2 in the middle row)
    3. Mini refridgerator in the center of the front seats
    4. OEM DVD/GPS/TV headunit with roof mounted 9 or 10 inches rear monitor
    5. Black Leather headliner
    6. Dual sunroof
    7. VDC
    8. Auto climate control A/C
    9. Blinds on all rear windows
Wow! And the non-bubble top Starex surpasses the P2M mark!

Personally, I think that's overkill, but different strokes for different folks. Objectively, I went to OLX to check on the gray market pricing and specs. No idea na nowadays. Hehehe!

Eurostandard's offering is P1.990M (Grand Starex 2014 Cvx Premium - Brand New For Sale Philippines - 40059302). From your 9 noted features, included are:

    1. Black Limousine leather seats - Gray nga lang sa kanila
    4. OEM DVD/GPS/TV headunit with roof mounted 9 or 10 inches rear monitor - 12" sa kanila
    7. VDC
    8. Auto climate control A/C

So the P400K would be for items 2, 3, 5, 6, 9. Per se, I think the features are worth it.

    Thanks Bro.

Using the first on the GS now. Malapit nang itapon. Hehehe! The 2nd have used only on the Prado. Still can't get over the CF rating. Hehehe!

Yes, you are correct bro.... The CF rating is still lingering in my head.... I still have 3.5L of the R3 X stored as I was not able to use them during my 20KKm PMS.... For our TCi,- full engine oil is about 5.5L,- and so, I load only up to 5L and top up later....

But I guess,- it should have been a given in the more advanced oil... I wonder what are the dynamics in the oil industry...

Yun na nga lang ang balak ko but I need to change tires soon, makapal pa sana yung goma pero more than 5 years old na and I don't wanna risk it since our GS is our long distance cruiser, better be safe than sorry.

Ah that's true. Trade in na lang. Kung may kapal pa yan may kakagat pa dyan na city driver lang.
