    The Fit that I saw up-close has a stubby face so I think it is JDM based. Honda has their own manufacturing plant in Guangzhou. Here's a link to Guangzhou Honda: http://www.guangzhouhonda.com.cn/fit/cartoon/.

    I don't know if there are differences between the new Fit that's made in Thailand and the one that's made in China. On the previous Fit, the Chinese version has a sunroof while the Thailand version has rear disk brakes.

    about the on-dash monitor, if tama yung pagkaka-intindi ko sa brochure, dalawa yung pinapakita ng monitor at the same time. sa bottom part, it shows the current fuel consumption since the last reset (ex. 13.7 km/l). tapos sa upper part naman parang some sort of line graph:

    0-----20-----40

    tapos real-time fuel consumption yung pinapakita sa line graph.

    i had the chance to compare the jazz to the lancer EX. the jazz was more spacious and had more legroom compared to the lancer. even with the driver's seat of the jazz fully pushed back, i was able to comfortably sit behind the driver's seat (im 5'10").

    btw, even before the launch of the jazz, mahaba na yung pila for the blue 1.3 matic. nagbayad na ako kanina ng reservation fee for the blue 1.5matic. once more people see how many things were added to the 1.5matic for only 50thousand, im sure maglilipatan mga yan.
    congrats sa forthcoming jazz mo. pasakay!!

    Saw the new Jazz on display at the ATC last night. I think I will wait for the new City to determine which will be the better option for us, next year.... The SAs were actually persuading us to trade/sell our 1.3 iDSI CVT for the new model.... IMHO, the current offering is not really a big take-off from what we currently have. And, it's now more pricey.....

    my Honda Fit was made by Guangzhou Honda... for the new top of the Line Jazz/Fit..... here's what i've noticed upon close inspection.

    China's top of the Line Fit vs. PH_DM 1.5V
    MSRP : CNY129,800 (Php867T) Php794,000.
    Sales Tax: 8% None dba (included na sa MSRP)?
    Engine : 1.5iVtec <= same.
    Tranny: 5A/T w/ Paddle Shifter <= same.
    Front Airbag : Driver + Passenger <= same.
    Side Airbag : have N/A.
    Curtain Airbag : have N/A.
    Stereo : MP3/WMA+Aux_In <= same.
    Speakers: 4 6 (may small tweeter sa harap, but brochure says only 4?)
    wheels/tire: 185/55-R16 <= same.
    Rear Privacy Glass : have N/A.
    Rear Tonneu Cover: have N/A.

    Sun_Roof: have N/A.
    Rear Brake : DISK <= same.
    Foglamp: have N/A (option).
    Aircon : Cooling +heating. <= Cooling only.
    Glove box : w/ drink cooler <= parang walang vent?
    others eh pareho na lang!
    --------------------------------------------------------------

    Conclusion: okay na din yung sa Pinas kahit we're missing alot of items....kasi malaki din naman price difference.

    New Jazz is Way Overpriced without a CVT for the 1.3 and 1.5.
    I think im canceling my reservation,i placed one 3 months ago thinking it will have the same cvt/idsi,paddle shift, not worth if its not CVT nor idsi.

    I asked the SA why its not CVT and they told me bec the price will go up further when they use CVT.(then why can they use it on the 1.3city isdi/cvt + paddle+ shift for a price of 660000?the only difference is the airbag.

    Compare P797 for 1.5 AT and the civic 1.8 MT (new i vtec) engine, bigger car is just 13k away.anyway u look at it, place the civic and the jazz side by side and u wont feel the jazz is close in price to the civic.

    You will know we are being short changed when u compare the new Jazz features with their City and also with their Civic.Looks like some one at Honda is not doing their homework.

    The price is ridiculous,..well, they will learn their lesson when the koreans will launch other models of CRDI (diesel that has really good FC) or if ford comes out with their new CRDi Fiesta 09.Mazda 3 lloking CRDI.
    Well toyota is also short changing us with their old engine for the corolla.
    That is a fuel nightmare bec it is heavier but using an old engine.Bigger load needs more fuel.

    Old JAzz
    CVT
    idsi
    Paddle shift

    New Jazz
    Regular AT
    i-vtec-more power=more Fuel consumption vs idsi
    no paddle shift

    Bec of the lack of the main features (CVT,paddle shift)
    it is more expensive

    wait for the ford fiesta-i think it will be 5 years/100000k warranty for that.

    i agree with that some one who posted that mas sulit pa ata yung dating 1.3cvt.i think thats true.

    Best buy will be City for now.660000.just a not so attrative car.

    Mga bossing, maiba lang ako.

    Kung magpareserve ba ko ng bagong Jazz ngayon, makakakuha ba ko dun sa sinasabing late September na release neto sa market?

    School car ko kasi Starex, pumayag na kasi palitan ng parents ko. hehe!
