Replacement Radiator for Honda Civic 2002 MT

Hi Guys,

Help!!!

My radiator was busted, nagkacrack ung plastic top, sa katagalan nadin siguro. I'm planning to replace it with a brand new one as recommended by others kasi repair will cost a lost (para kang bumili ng bago). May maiirecommend ba kau sakin na radiator? May list na ako dito:

1. Evercool - ok na sana, medyo pricey lang, 1 row brass-copper rad is 6.3k here in laguna direct from the plant
2. Dynamics - 2 rows full alum 7k
3. Top cool - 2 rows plastic top alum radiator 3.8k
4. Hydrocool - 1 row plastic top 2.8k

Pang weekend ride lang car ko, minsan dinadala ng weekdays pag may gala. Plano ko din maglong ride.

Ano kayang radiator ang swak para sakin?

if your outgoing radiator is 1-row, my bukambibig recommendation is the evercool.
because it is brass/copper, it should be fix-able in your friendly radiator shop.

dynamics is aluminum but 2 rows. i think it is also a good choice. namimili lang nga ng repair shop, in the unfortunate event that it needs repair.

plastic radiators are cheap, because... they are cheaper to manufacture.

bottomline. eni op da por will do.

"The Honda Civic radiator is constructed with plastic tanks and an aluminum core. The good quality metal radiators are no longer used, in favor of the more lucrative and easily manufactured plastic versions. The center core is simply crimped to the plastic tanks with a gasket between the core and tank. This creates a multitude of possible leaks; however, the most common cause for leaks on the Civic radiator is cracks on the top tank next to the radiator cap. The pressure in the radiator splits the upper tank, resulting in a long crack just above the core. It is a good idea to pressure test the radiator if no obvious cracks are seen."

i believe that the manufacturer chooses to install plastic radiator, because it helps keep showroom prices down.
besides, the plastic radiator seems hardy enough.

same reason why they choose to use simple spring clips on their engine hoses. cheep.

ano ba sira ng dati mo.kung crack lang ung plastic top at ung bottom ,pwede mo namang papalitan ng copper ung itaas at ibaba nun..convertion.
