Start right. Get the S variant. SRS/Airbags are integral parts of the safety reputation this car is known for. The car got high marks for safety _with_ the SRS as standard. Don't for one moment think that the SRS is a waste. It's one of those things you wish you won't have to use, but there if you need it. And as mentioned, you'll likely spend more than 60k to fit SRS to a V variant. Even prrobably spend twice that amount; Change steering wheel, change ECM/PCM and/or MICU, new SRS module, sensors, airbags, wiring/harness, etc.

If you put things into perspective, P60k is about the amount you spend per day in ICU. ;)

Paddle shifts, better tires, optitron gauges, better interior trims, and of course the SRS, etc., are a bargain for an additional 60k.

After looking through the specs sheet of the V and S.

wala palang airbags at all yung V variant (even for the driver's side).

wala ring pretensioner yung seatbelt ng V.

yes, get the S if you put safety as an absolute premium.

the thing about airbags is, they're useless if the cabin is included in the crumple zone. Just look at the "airbag-equipped" chinese car crash tests on youtube.

Our local civic models don't get side curtain airbags, though.

Pls help me choose Honda Civic AT 1.8 V or S
