Got good fuel consumption on my Honda Fit/Jazz 1.5l last memorial day weekend from LA to Las Vegas. Did 33.5 mpg (14.16kpl) doing 80 to 90mph (128 to 144 kph) on the freeway and still have enough gas to move around before filling up for the trip home

my 2005 honda jazz 1.5 cvt

with size 16 rims - city driving from qc to manila: 9-10 km / liter
with size 15 rims - city driving from qc to manila: 10 - 12 km / liter

highway nlex with some hataw: 14 km / liter
highway nlex 80 kph max speed: 17 to 18 km per liter

subic cruising with ac off: 18km /liter was my running fc pero masasaraduhan na ako ng sctex kaya di ko natapos test ko, di pa nag eempty ang gas tank ko and 1/4 pa at that time na nag compute ako. 60kph max speed ko nun. i think kaya ng 1.5 cvt na mag 20km per liter sa " subic " condition.

Apr25: 14.9 kpl [city driving]
Apr28: 13.6 kpl [MM-Subic-MM, ka-convoy ko kasi Fortuner, habol ako ng habol ]
May7: 15.0 kpl [city driving]
May15: 11.8 kpl [city driving, sobra na-trap ako sa edsa coming from macapagal ave. grrr. and traffic lately due to rains, grrr]

sana next week more than 13 kpl ulit, which is my target.

I browse through the thread and based from what I've read, I think my 07 model 1.8S AT Civic has a problem. My fuel consumption is just averaging 5.7-6.3km/L. most of the time under 6km per liter lng. Right now, around 11,000kms na yung tinakbo ng car so i guess it is safe to say that is pretty accurate.

regularly ko naman pinapa maintenance (1000 and 10000kms checkup), i maintain correct tire pressure, most of the time i drive alone, i use petron unleaded, stock yung car, city driving (Manila-Ortigas-Makati), what else.... As a comparison, I also have a mazda 3 2L and fuel consumption ko for that one is 7-8km/L. same route, same style of driving.

I informed my service advisor of the poor fuel efficiency of my car and he told me nag request na sila ng tester from the head office and they are just waiting for the machine to arrive. That was about 4 months ago pa. which reminds me to follow it up...

Just a thought, maybe it's bec ur using a lower octane fuel....unleaded. afaik, lower octane burns faster than higher ones. Since the FD was designed for a 95 octane rating, a lower one would cause the fuel to burn easily....hehehe opinion ko lng

Back then, I tried to use unleaded sa revo namin and I feel mas mabilis nga sya maubos. That's why I came up with that conclusion ^^

June 2: 16.9 kpl (NLEX-SCTEX and back)
June 6: 15.1 (city driving)

Those figures are normally run on almost perfect conditions for sure. We can never ever emulate those figures while driving normally... A little bit of marketing also played out for sure...
